I don't like banning decent posters in these things, but I don't want a poster whose posts I enjoy banned. Even if Dom is exaggerating some, he's still fun to read. All you people who are accusing him of ego stroking were begging him for the stories 6 months ago. Furthermore, Nation refuses to give any sort of credence to his accusations. And finally, I will tend to vote against the person who instigates the survivor in any survivor match, all else being equal.

I take it your claim is that Dom should be banned because he lied about

a his claims about his career in hollywood
b his claims about working in porn
c his claims about banging chicks
d his claims about being succesful

which one is it?

Ive been on these boards for several years and my cliff notes version of Dom is this:

He stumbled into a job doing some directing work for Danne Ash and maybe Vivid etc. He was strickly a shooter for hire he was not a porn producer or ran his own porn line. Thus he was sucessful in a sense but I doubt porn directors make a ton of cash. He mave have used that knowledge to get some low rent work shooting commercials etc. He did take atvantage of being in the porn business by boning some of the talent.

He apparently had some success at screenwriting but it was short lived and if it lasted for a while it was probably work on B movies, straight to video etc. Nothing big time.
He made a couple of sales did some re-write work etc but not much more than that. That again doesn't mean he was a huge success but places him above say 95% of the people in LA who say they are screenwriters/directors.

He may have gone on to do some low budget indie stuff that never saw the day of light and seems to be jaded and have a strong distaste for Hollywood and the Industry in general based of his advice for screenwriters. It also has probably been awhile since he was in the biz cuz his advice about screenwriting is dated and somehwhat flawed.

Overall though he basically said this. I did some work for porn companies, boned some porn chicks, had some short success as a screenwriter, but that all kind of ended and didn't really go anywhere and I live in Vegas now still trying to do some work with writing/directing/producing while playing poker and doing other [censored].

So where am I wrong....what about him is a lie?
