Bill Walton use to do Clips games I believe. This was after the NBA left NBC. The rumor is he pissed off TNT or some other network, so that was why he wasn't doing national games for a bit. he apparently had to eat crow to get on ESPN. I for one, am eternally greatful. During his stretch w/ the Clips, Snapper was doing the local stuff for the Blazers. I personally dislike Snapper. I think he is a bit or a boring moron. Right now the Blazers color guy is Mike Rice, who is almost as great as Walton.

Also, two or three years ago, Christmas game with I believe Orlando and Cleveland??? Francis vs. Lebron. 20 Mins into the game, score was like 40-39 or something, both stars going off. Walton proclaims "This is the best first 20 minutes of basketball ever played!"


Walton makes ever game fun to watch and listen to. Great commentator.

Also, to anyone who says walton is an idiot. Dude knows tons about basketball, especially how to play it well. Amazing insight once you get past the layer of pompousness. But you know what, I love that pompousness. I know plenty of people that hate walton. I always ask them why, and the usual response is "he's annoying" or "has an ego". So what, as long as you know that, he's great fun.

To be fair, Charlie Ward was an excellent outlet passer, and Robert Horry is/was fantastic at getting the ball to Shaq and making his cut. I might be biased about Horry seeing as how I'm Member #2 in the Robert Horry Fan Club.
