No secondary program is needed. That's what the PokerStars client does -- stacks them up in queue, bringing the next table to the forefront when you act on the previous table. The PS client manages the timing -- the "shortest time left to act" always comes to the forefront next.

This is exactly it. There is no way this guy could 30 table on party where the most recent action comes to the front and you lose the most urgent action...

How is there time to open that many SNGs and keep that many going? Once you get above a "certain number" it seems like you would not have time. I'm not sure what this "certain number" is, but personally I think it would be FAR LESS THAN 25 for me.

IIRC, steps required to open SNG:

1) Scan lobby for available table
2) Select SNG
3) Select "Register"
4) Confirm registration
5) confirm "Welcome"

He has got to be using some secondary program to open tables and keep the number of tables open as each SNG ends.

I play ten with no overlap on two screens, and I'm pretty busy doing that. I can't imagine playing WINNING POKER on much more than 10 at a time when you're in the final 2 on a few at once.

How do you play 10 with no overlap on two screens? Are your screens bigger than 21 inch, or is your resolution greater than 1600x1200--or both?

[/ QUOTE ]

two 24inch screens. Resolution is 1920 x 1200.

Dell sells these for around $800 a piece IIRC.

I've played him several times in the last few days. I thought he just didn't chat, but on New Year's Day he started chatting and said Stars had turned off his chat for some unnamed infraction. I've seen him chatting quite a bit since, but he never had more than about 8 tables open at the time.

I can understand how he can play 30 tables, but I can't imagine how he can chat at the same time. Every time I try to type something in chat another table steals focus and suddenly I'm typing on the other table. Maybe he has some way around that.

umm, I think you are missing the point. He can't just push a button and open 30 tables. He has to open each table individually WHILE playing the previous 20 tournament tables he just opened. It would get a little crowded on a 17in monitor.
