B. Cops were called, then kid tried to leave. [/ QUOTE ] You have the order backwards basically. He's leaving, they arrive, they hold him back. from first hand account: [ QUOTE ] so next thing in like 5 more minutes the kids walking out of the library and the police officers hold him back (they grab his arm or something) and the kids like im leaving get off me. you are dumb.
1. they are going to arrest him for refusing to stand up AFTER causing a huge scene because they wanted to question him. do you understand this part? And looking at your "table", we know FOR SURE that he was doing 1,2, and 3. I think he was doing 4, but do you have any evidence to suggest he wasnt doing 4 or 5? when im trying to subdue someone and they start SCREAMING "dont touch me". I am going to start worrying about what they are physically capable of. and who knows (cant tell from the video), he could have been physically fighting off the cops as well. |

Look, they called the cops, then kid tries to leave, then cops arrive. Its not like he was leaving, and then THEY CALLED THE COPS, and THEN THE COPS MAGICALLY ARRIVED THERE IN 2 SECONDS. |

[ QUOTE ] B. Cops were called, then kid tried to leave. [/ QUOTE ] You have the order backwards basically. He's leaving, they arrive, they hold him back. [/ QUOTE ] The point still stands, once he realized REAL cops were being called he tried to leave. Once the call to the cops was placed, the kid is going to have to be questioned. This tiny bit of misinformation doesn't change any of the conclusions or the events that happened after. |

Laila Gordy, a fourth-year economics student who was present in the library during the incident, said police officers threatened to shoot her with a Taser when she asked an officer for his name and his badge number. [/ QUOTE ] lol |

I never said they arrived before he tried to leave. There is going to be some delay between the call and the arrival of the police. |
