Her response, which is a classic line between me and my buds now that I have broken up with her: "Why do you have to be so logical all the time?" [/ QUOTE ] that is effing amazing |

This thread is absolutely fantastic. I can't think of any that are nearly as good as the ones posted. Perhaps our worst argument stemmed from me going to the casino boat the night of my 21st birthday for a whole 3 hours. She called me about 2.5 hours in yelling that she "wouldn't put up with this" if I was going to continue to go and spend all of my time gambling at the boats.
That was 6+ months ago. I coincidentally haven't gone since. I pray that when I do choose to go again she doesn't get upset, otherwise I'll come off as the uncaring jerk. |

My current relationship is great. My lady is not crazy, and any arguments we have come to reasonable ends. This is very refreshing from prior relationships. Best story I have:
I dated a girl on/off for 2 and a half years starting around my junior year in high school. During one of our off times, she "catches" me talking to a girl in the hallway. As I'm walking to class, she tries to confront me about it. She asks me why I was talking to her, that I probably want to [censored] her, etc. I'm obviously sick of this [censored], and I just agree with everything she says very sarcastically. Then out of nowhere, she kicks me in the balls. Luckily, she wore slippers to school that day (?), but a kick to the balls is a kick to the balls. Unfortunately, in one of my lesser moments, I slap her back instinctually. Immediately she blows up and starts asking teachers, students, etc. where she goes to "tell on me" (WTF? We're in high school). After figuring out she has to go to the office (DUH), she turns to me and says, "I'm telling on you...and I'm telling that it hurt." So, I went to class and lo and behold, the school cop pulls me out to talk about it. Him (and later the dean I had to talk to) both were super understanding about the situation. Basically they told me that we'd both be getting a 3 day in school suspension and her parents can press chargers (I was 18 at the time). I was on pretty good terms with her parents, so I wasn't too concerned about charges. I retardedly got back together with her after that. |

she told me I was to sever all contact with my friend and never talk to her or be in the same room with her again, because she didn't want me thinking about those times I used to fool around with her. I told her that I think about them anyway , whether I see her or not. Then my wife told me I needed to "get myself a new wife." So I did. [/ QUOTE ] Why the hell would you say that? lol. That is a severely ill-advised comment. Would you want your wife to say she thinks about slobbin' knobs back in HS? wtf. Good stories nonetheless. |

I retardedly got back together with her after that. [/ QUOTE ] Meh, at least you know it was retarded to do so. I've got a few friends that would get back together with someone like that and not give it a second thought. And slapping her in that situation is not unwarranted at all. I'm all for being chivalrous/respectful to a girl, but if she kicks you in the nuts for absolutely no reason, or for a completely made up one like she did, bitch deserves it. |

[/ QUOTE ] One thing that made it real hard to stay broken up was that I was 1) living a street away and 2) lived on my own with a bunch of friends, so she would come over all the time. And I agree that what I did wasn't wrong. I just wish I would have thought about the fact that I was in school and restrained myself. |

[/ QUOTE ] I agree that it was ill-advised, but this was pretty much the last frickin' straw, her ordering me to disown one of my best friends because she didn't like my thought patterns. I think she knew deep down that she couldn't really control my thoughts and it was just another example of her attempt to bend me to her will. In her twisted logic, if she could get me to abandon my family and turn away from all my friends and everyone I cared about, it would demonstrate my true feelings for her. |
