[ QUOTE ] I plan to write about this soon. i know alot but have never really thought alot about it. a discussion would help me verbalize some of my experiences. [/ QUOTE ] Tell me the time and place and amount and im there LIMON. My college teammate was Lorne Kelley @ Coastal Carolina UNIV. He is a Euro Tour player and Walker Cup player. I was #3 on that team. [/ QUOTE ] You should probably brush up on your negotiating before you become a full time hustler. |

PW: geenrally 48 degrees
GW: Generally 51-53 degrees SW: 56 degrees LW: 60 degrees and some other clubs have like 64 degree lofts but its a little silly, escpecially with a 14 club limit per bag. |

Limon,
How much do you think you've made in your entire life? |

[ QUOTE ]
I'm assuming limon's '60 wedge' is a lob wedge. The loft on the club is 60 degrees. a sand wedge is typically 56 degrees and a pitching wedge is ~50-52 degrees. Cup [/ QUOTE ] Recent pitching wedges are now where close to 50-52 degrees...Most fall between 46-48 but there are some 44-45 degree ones available now. Lofts have gotten stronger as center of gravities on clubheads have gotten lower. This is help keep the ball flight down |

what is the avg handicap? my first summer i was probably averaging about 105 by the end, how is this? what should i expect to be at by the end of next summer? [/ QUOTE ] The average handicap is probably about 18. Some say maybe 15. A lot of golfers don't have handicaps. My guess is that if you shot legit 105s you would be around a 30. Maybe 32 at most. Something like that. At that level you should be playing easy tees. So if the course rating were 68 or so I would expect you to be in that range. This is a guess on my part, I am not a handicapping maven. You get like 96% of the differential between a course rating and your scores on an average of your better scores. Scratch players are decent. Players less than 5 are pretty good by most standards. 5-15 you have practiced and you hit some shots OK. More true the lower you go. 15-18 isn't that hard Over 18 you aren't good A lot of college players who won't make it are probably +3', and +4s Average tour pro is probably +6 or better now. Hard to tell because the courses they play are ridiculously hard. Tiger is probably a +9 or better. |
