a few people walked out [/ QUOTE ] WTF What were they expecting, a freaking romantic comedy? They're dumber than the people being parodied in the movie. |

I saw it twice today, and will see it at least once more tomorrow
Really really amazing time! (The not joke at the end might be my favourite) |

Just got back. HILARIOUS. I definitely need to update my "top 100" comedies list.
Some good lines: "F*ck you Death!" "My wifea vajin sag like sleeve of wizard." I was laughing at that one for about 2 minutes. Each of the 3 cameos by the fist were all Gold. And yes, the "3 minute" scene was one of the most ridiculous/funny things ever captured on film. My God. I'm glad my gf has a sense of humor. That was just........WOW. I'm going to have to force everyone I know in the U, S, and A, to go see this thing. YAY BORAT!!! |

[/ QUOTE ] I just got back from watching it, and several people walked out of the showing I was at too. Doesn't matter to me though, one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time. I also now know what the 3 minute section is that I was asking about earlier. Yes it was the funniest part of the movie, and close to the top of funniest things I've ever watched. |

Wow, this was incredible. I was also wondering about the sack scene mentioned in the OP...that was for real? Wow...absolutely incredible. Were all of the people at the Evangelical thing for real too? If so...damn. As mentioned already the "running of the jew" was remarkable - I had seen the 4 minute clip on youtube showing the beginning of the movie but this was left out, IIRC.
I didn't notice anyone walk out, but to be honest I was too busy saying "oh, jesus" and laughing my [censored] ass off. There were a couple great moments where he got to some real sensitive topics and the entire audience was dead silent for a little bit (where everyone wasn't quite sure how to react)...definitely some intense energy up in the theatre. Quite an experience. This movie definitely lived up to the hype. Cohen is incredible. |
