[ QUOTE ] it wouldn't help. hand rate is a function of your mouse clicking speed. you aren't waiting on other people. multitabling would probably lower your hand rate. [/ QUOTE ] No way. There's a noticeable delay at the start of each hand when the dealer checks for blackjack (if he has a T or A). There's a similar delay at the end of each hand when the payout is made. Playing 2 tables would easily let you go from 600 to 1000 hands / hr. [/ QUOTE ] I just tested it out using play money. Two tables definately ups the number of hands you can get in here. It was hard to keep track of games played since logs aren't kept for play money games, but a rudimentry head count yielded about 15 hands per minute, which translates to 900 hands/hr. I'm not sure how long you could keep this rate up, though. Also, it will increase the chances that you make a mistake. |

since $$$$ is cooler (at $200 bets): 65% chance of being between -$4000 and +$16,360 95% chance of being between -$14,180 and +$26,540 99.7% chance of being between -$24,360 and +$36,720 [/ QUOTE ] How many hands is this? 600? |

i definitely want to maximize ev and don't care about variance... [/ QUOTE ] You are planning to bet 200/hand with an 8k max roll over an estimate of 1500 hands assuming 3 days, or $300,000 total wagered, and you don't care about variance? aljk;sdf [ QUOTE ] i'll try and run the math for how small a bankroll you need before betting 200 is not maxEV [/ QUOTE ] Post what you come up with. [ QUOTE ] i would just hate to bust out on day two and not get a chance to take advantage of any future days [/ QUOTE ] We're definitely going to need a trip report from you. |

So if I have a functional BR of $8,000 (my actual BR is actually several times that but only 8,000 is accessible via Neteller/IGMpay right now), what should be my betting strategy to minimize risk of ruin all the while maximizing EV? Bet $100 until I get up to $12,000 (at which point I'd up my bet to $125?) or get down to $6000 (at which point I'd lower my bet to $75)? Something like that? Anyone savvy enough to estimate when I should move up/down in bet amounts (i.e. at which levels of winnings/losses)?
