On the other hand, the Main Event attracts a lot of people that don't regularly play poker. Not to mention the portion of online qualifiers that are total donks.
You'd expect to have the greatest chance of running into said goofballs at the beginning of the tourney, before they get knocked out, no? |

From pocketfiveslive:
"Online players feel his pain, of course....Rizen was in the small blind with QJ when the flop came A Q Q. His opponent bet the flop and turn the same amount, and Rizen made a raise on the turn, which the opponent quickly called (obvious bluff). The river was an ace, Rizen checked, and his opponent made another very small bet and showed A T. Blah. Classy as always, Eric said "nice hand," smiled, and got ready to chip back up." |

Hellmuth finally appeared at the ESPN table, about two hours late. Knowing his reputation, why would they bother having his table as the featured table when he's not going to be there to start.

just got back from the Rio
at the break: Superfluous Man - 8200, likes to bluff into sets. also picked up AA when there were already 3 bets to him and he 4-bet it up to 5k and everyone folded. Iggy - 11500, just chipping away, nothing too crazy to report. i'm going to head back over later tonight |

Break
Players from the first break are returning to blinds of $50-$100. The other half of the room will now take their 20-minute break. how does this work? nevermind i thought it said players are playing to blinds of 50/100 so u go on break for 20 mins. come back then wait another 20 minutes for other half to come back? |

breaking news from Superfluous Man (aka leo)
Leo picks up AA and raises in the CO for $300 and the big blind calls. Flop is A-J-3. The bb checks and leo bets $400. The villain thinks for a few seconds and calls. Turn card is a 9. Villain checks, Leo bets $1,500 (pot or so), and the Villain raises most of his stack in the pot. Leo goes all-in (he does play the nuts oh so good) and the guy flips A-9 for two pair, drawing dead. Leo takes his first victim and is up to $17,725. (edit : he has the table covered now). |

Hellmuth's not running well. According to Pauly (from another source), his JJ ran into QQ and his KK ran into AA.

[/ QUOTE ] That'll remain the TV table for the first six hours prior to the dinner break. So, they'll still get four hours of him playing. Regardless, the play so far only represents about 10-15 minutes worth of programming. |

Knowing his reputation, why would they bother having his table as the featured table when he's not going to be there to start. [/ QUOTE ] Because they think it's television gold emphasizing how he's so cocky and always showing up late on day one. They'll probably even make an insert out of it. |
