I think i'd have to go with my mom's approach. A) I think it's fair that you shouldn't (as a teenager or young adult living at home) be banging when your parents are up and about (wait till night or they are out of the house).

B) OMG...get an effing lock on your door. Regardless of what is going on in your room, parents should always have to knock before entering. Masturbating is okay, but you should have a lock so that your mom can't walk in on you doing it.

Well my mom didn't walk in on me in high school, but she heard me and my g/f at the time in the house and figured out what was going on. My parents are a little more chill, so she didn't barge in...just told my dad to talk to me. My dad then gave me the birds and the bees talk that lasted one hilarious line that I will never forget:

My mom walked in on me once by accident..she was a little shocked and asked if wanted tea..and ran out of the room after which we could hear my dad and siblings cracking up...needless to say the girl never came to my house again...my parents never really cared about me and my brother messing around...they just bought us condoms so that we would always be safe

with my sister my parents always told her that if she was gonna sleep with a guy they preferred that she'd do it at home instead of spending the night at the guys house. this was more of safety reasons than anything else, so that there was always family around to help her out. like if she wanted the guy to stop and he's giving her a hard time she could just yell out, whereas anywhere else that wasn't garaunteed...plus my family is a gun crazy family so any guy walking into the house can see immediately that any misconduct could result in his nuts being blown off

I don't have any kids myself but I think I liked the way my parents dealt with stuff so i'll probably try to imitate.
