My pet peeve is when you're at a restaurant and you get the check and pay with a credit card, and the waitress tries to pick up the check after you've signed it. I HATE that. You do not have the right to see what your tip is until I'm out the door. I do not let them take it, if they try I just say I'm not ready yet. Maybe its just me..

Nope, this is legit; waitresses should never, NEVER do this.

I really can't stand it when people when referring to their parents say "mom" or "dad" instead of "my mom" or "my dad". I mean WTF I'm not your F'n brother!

When I ask people who call me if I can call them back shortly because I'm on the phone, or eating, and they still try to start a non-urgent conversation.

A car behind me flashing for me to move out of the left lane when I'm already doing 70-75.

[/ QUOTE ]

this is mine , MOVE BIATCH GET OUT THE WAY !! god i hate you people who think 75mph is worthy of the left lane

Do you wear those cute little bike pants?

[/ QUOTE ]
Of course. The ones with a diaper in them. And bike shoes. And a bike shirt with pockets on the back. I'm a bike nerd...

I'm guessing that you're one of the bikers that actually hugs the fog line. I have no issues with you and will swerve into the oncoming lane (with traffic coming at me) in order to miss you by several feet. It's the [censored] bikers that take up a third of the lane that will hear the swoosh of my side-view mirror in their ear. If you make an effort to hug the shoulder, I'll return the courtesy and miss you by a comfortable margin. Move more than two feet off of the fog line and I will send you a message.

[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, I hug the fog line. Which makes the drivers that pass really close more dangerous because I have nowhere to escape to if they get too close. What bugs me is that *I'm* the one that gets hurt if they misjudge the gap between us.

I also hate bicyclists that take up way too much space. I sometimes ride with some guys that like riding side by side where there's no bike lane and I don't think that's very good road etiquette.

Basically, any people in traffic that don't pay attention or try to behave in a considerate manner that is safe and makes the traffic flow are idiots...

Mine seem to all happen while driving:

1) As already mentioned, drivers in the left lane who are not passing are irksome. It is not the speeding lane, it is the passing lane. It's particularly noticeable when there is a long line of cars behind the oblivious leader, waiting for him or her to move over so they may resume their pace.

2) Also mentioned, not using a turn signal, really no excuse.

3) Another which burns me: I'm driving on a two lane road (one on either side). From an upcoming cross street, another driver can see me coming and pulls out causing me to brake a little. Alone this is no big deal, but then the other driver proceeds to drive slowly in front of me. WTF? You're in such a big rush that you have to pull out in front of me, but you're going to drive slowly now?

4) Last, this tends to only occur in the local urban areas: When a driver stops his or her car in the middle of the street to talk to his or her friends, you pull up behind them, and they decide they're still going to talk for a while before finally moving.

Back when I used to drive ~45 miles each way to and from work it was people like dustybottoms who don't understand the concept of "fast lane" or "passing lane".
