SirFelixCat,

Did you use to post in the Micros (limit forum)? I may be mistaking but your avatar looks familiar. And also where in TX are you?

[/ QUOTE ]

No, not in the micros for LHE. Believe it or not, I used to play as high as 15/30 online LHE, but it seemed the majority of the money moved to NL, so about a year ago, I switched to playing NL live. Only recently (Feb. 12) have I gotten serious about playing NL online. Cussin' myself for not having started about 2 years ago :grumble:

And live (read: not from) in Amarillo, Tx. BTW, it's snowing here right now.

I fly out to Albuquerque, NM to play quite frequently, though. Plus a ton of underground games here in town as well...some of them HUGE! The PLO game could have as much as $50k on the table...uhh, no thanks. We have 2/5 and 5/10 NL here though as well. You?

We are practically neighboors! I am in Lubbock. We just recently moved here. Someone told me about free poker tournaments that local bars organize so I decided to visit a couple. Free money was enticing but I couldn't stand the atmosphere.

One day I was killing time at Hastings browsing through their books and came across Small Stakes Hold 'em and consequently 2+2 forums. I deposited whatever money I won at the local tournament ($50) and then spent most of the time grinding out at the micros in limit. I made it to $1/$2 but cashed out my bankroll. That's my story. I am trying to build the roll and learn NL. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that there's a number of undeground games here as well. I am actually curious now. Unfortunately, we are new to town and have no connections.

From what I've heard, there are quite a few, actually. Many of the folks from Lubbock make the trip to Albuquerque, NM to Sandia casino to play. You may wanna make a trip and ask around there....
