I think his point is that this is insulting to tournament players and unjustifiably self-aggrandizing.

this is a nicer way of saying "he's calling you a [censored] douchebag" right?

pretty much everything i say in here is a nicer way of saying something. every sentence and word i type i think of a euphemism for so i can filter it down through and spoon feed it to you guys so that i can sound like less of a douchebag than i really am.

Some of you guys need to relax a bit, it was a joke I also went on to say that the kid was fearless and that he had the world by the balls. I sat beside Jimmy for quite some time on day 3 and was impressed by his fearlessness and willingness to get it in. It wasn't sour grapes in the least , Jimmy didn't knock me out and I had no problem with him yelling ship it after winning a big all in against me where we were roughly 50-50.

I was merely trying to interject a little brevity into a the interview for entertainment sake.

Its great that some of you guys are happy for Jimmy and are looking to stick up for him, everyone should have friends like that.

Congrats to Jimmy for his 2nd place finish, he has a great future ahead of him.

also, this is gold, and very, very watered down.

If I had the mental and emotional stability of you or Adanthar I think I'd be a millionaire like gobbo by now.

fyp

Lol. This is the type of crap I find hilarious coming from people clamoring for more class in the poker world.

[/ QUOTE ]

I dont see anything wrong with that fyp, why are you so [censored] negative all the time?

[/ QUOTE ]

No, it's pointing out how much money someone has which is classless.

[/ QUOTE ]

I didnt realize it was some big secret, and he didnt mean it in a bad way, im sure he is just excited about gobbo`s finish. Nice edit by the way too.

Shane, it's kinda silly to decide what's classy and what isn't between -friends-. Randal and gobbo aren't strangers, enforcing your own conception of class on the way other people behave with their friends is pointless.

Like you've said, you're a bit bitter right now and that's quite understandable, but point your arrows at the right direction. Calling a kid you've never met, prior to that week, a "messed up kid" on "TV" basically, is being a douche.

Also, your reading comprehension vis-a-vis assigning pronouns in context needs a lot of work.

This may be old news, but ya'll see Haralabos's comments on Jimmy in this pre-FT interview?

It's all pretty good, but check out from the 4:30 mark on to the end.

I really don't care what anyone thinks of Haralabos, or anything like that. Nor have I ever "decided" what's classy in poker. I have never claimed to be particularly classy or ethical (or any of the other high-and-mighty things everyone on 2+2 embodies), but I think it's an absolute JOKE to rub success in people's faces and expect no backlash or reaction to it. Gobboboy has cultivated an image for himself, both on 2+2 and now on tour, and he ought to be able to deal with the fact that not everyone loves him the way 2+2 does.

LFTV, I have little humility, it is probably my only flaw.

Let's drop the competition; I promised I'd give you nothing special, and with the exception of a win the first week, you got nothing special (feel free to replace "at all" with
"special" in the second part).

I realize there is a lot of truth in what I say; that's why I say it. I really just think a lot of people (almost everyone, reall) think about poker in the wrong way. Their thought process on everything from specific hands to the success of individual players and the amount of skill and hidden random luck that goes into poker is just incorrect (in this case, I'm speaking more about the latter and less about hand reading, but I'm making the point that people, even decent players, have poor thought process often in many facets of the game).

So, I basically realize that perhaps I'm too harsh and brutally honest for many people to get anything out of any of my posts; but it seriously is just my style. I'm a brutally honest person and I hate people that need things to be candy coated, because I feel like there is too much of that going on in society to begin with.

Ah well, I hope if nothing else someone is laughing at the comedic gold which is in the first sentence of this post.
