[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] How can you say Peyton choked away this game. I think the real chokers were the O-lineman of Indi. Just my opinion. P. Manning 22/38 29 1td 0int (although it really was 2INTs) [/ QUOTE ] FYP. Anyone who things Manning didn't play like total ass this game is delusional. [/ QUOTE ] We get it we get it, you don't like Manning, enough already. I get the distinct impression that a select group of posters out there would look at a 158.3Rtg day by manning with 6 TDs and go "Well he's just got good receivers." His play was fine, the Steelers were playing well, they were ready, the Colts were rusty and came out soft. Credit the Steelers, good game. [/ QUOTE ] For Homer, this is the exact same thing I said, minus the "people like Sublime who only want to turn this into a flame war can eat me" comment. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] WTF was that. WORST CALL I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE. JUST AWFUL. SHAME ON YOU REFEREE. [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] good game refs [/ QUOTE ] This may end up being Indy's "tuck rule" play. It is very likely the right call but a poor ru hle. [/ QUOTE ] the right call? are you serious? [/ QUOTE ] I can almost guarantee, by the letter of the rules, that it is the "right" call, so yes, I am serious. Pay attention please. [/ QUOTE ] the rule for a complete pass that i could find. 8. A forward pass is complete when a receiver clearly possesses the pass and touches the ground with both feet inbounds while in possession of the ball. If a receiver would have landed inbounds with both feet but is carried or pushed out of bounds while maintaining possession of the ball, pass is complete at the out-of-bounds spot. they described previously a receiver as any player on defense and the eligible offensive players. im too lazy to search any more. if you can find the rule on possession id be interested.but the above, admittedly very basic, would make us believe the int should have stood. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Manning brought the team back, so all you sorry NE fans can eat my ass if you wanna talk about him anymore. [/ QUOTE ] Oh he did? He played like [censored] for the majority of the game. Then he threw a pick with the game on the line. Then he gets a miracle "redo". Then he gets the game on the line AGAIN and blows it. Then he gets ANOTHER miracle and does not drive his team to win, but puts them in an "okay" position to win the game. peyton manning, serial choker. he is far down the list of qbs i want running my team down with 2:00 to go. [/ QUOTE ] who's on top? uh.. jake plummer? [/ QUOTE ] Which one of these is not like the other? 1)Tom Brady 2)Jake Plummer 3)Payton Manning [/ QUOTE ] Am I the only one who would take Brett Favre over Plummer or Manning in the playoffs? |

[/ QUOTE ] I don't care if you're a homer or not, saying Peyton isn't a good QB is just silly. Of course he's All-Galaxy, so is Brady. Neither QB could win that game, Indy's line came out flat, and the Steelers had a great gameplan. It's annoying to see "Peyton sucks" by the same group of people every time. People don't like Peyton, ok that's fine, but working backward from that and pissing on everything he does shows no grasp of a 22 person game. Cody |

another thing for those pointing out that NE/Brady looked bad yesterday/lost.
They were on the road against a team that had the previous week off and were 3pt underdogs. the colts were favored by two SCORES and at home and had a week off. |

I was adressing my post at the poster named "Homer", who implied that I wasn't classy following my making similar comments to yours. |
