[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Everyone, regardless of what team affiliation they carry, should be very happy about this. Listening to him talk about his own perfect game would be beyond unbearable. It would give me nightmares. [/ QUOTE ] It wouldn't have been a perfect game despite Schilling not walking anybody. An A's batter got on base in the fifth inning due to a Julio Lugo error. Wouldn't Schilling haters have had more fun ribbing him for missing a perfect game due to an error? [/ QUOTE ] oh, i just scanned the 0bb and thought it would have been perfect. it might have been more fun that way, but its been a while since i had something to hold over red sox fans so I'm not too choosy. [/ QUOTE ] youre holding this over red sox fans? lol |

My business partner is responsible for that hit, told me to turn it on literally at the moment it came. [/ QUOTE ] Wait, wouldn't that make YOU responsible for the hit???? [ QUOTE ] Great win, though, we needed that [/ QUOTE ] I can get down from the ledge now. |

I'm 24 hours late with this post, so forgive me for playing catch-up.
[ QUOTE ] omg day game I missed it. [/ QUOTE ] And I was sitting around my house doing absolutely nothing at the time. Had PTI in the background, when they broke in with "special coverage" of the 9th inning live. The "Special Coverage" graphic was covering the NESN score-bar across the top, so I couldn't see the score. "Is that a 1?" I flip over to the game, and yup, that's a 1. "F the no-hitter, just hang on and win this game!" Only in a 1-0 game do you see no-no's broken up by solo shots. First two batters ground to Lugo, who handles each as if they were live grenades. Crumble much? I didn't know at the time, he had the costly error earlier, no wonder his collar was so tight. I was reminded of Adam Sandler's "Please, God, don't let him hit to me" routine. I'm not looking forward to his "A-Rod With A Glove" impression this October. |
