bodymand i used to pack dips in college while playing vid games/sports(stuffs gross to me now) but i couldnt stop until about 3-4 months ago. Not crazy with it, but id prob have a dip a day, maybe 2. I would always quit but find myself starting back up. IDK if it is the same as cigarettes but after 2 weeks of cold turkey i was fine and didnt really get the urge anymore + didnt really get tilted or agitated easily..granted i do occasionally would want one, i just try staying away from having one and chewing gum or sunflower seeds, for me its more oral fixation

I quit 35 days ago. Also from 1.5/2 packs a day to 0. I used the patch and still am, but I'm on the third step which is minimal nicotice. I also had my worst run ever last month which was part running bad, part playing bad. It might be best to take a week or two off imo. I think I've just recently reached the point where I can play without tilting easily.

dude I am not even on the patch or anything, I almost went outside (as in get in my car go drive around) looking for someone that smokes to bum a smoke from, and yeah this is my 3day and I think I will stay off stars for another day or two

Quitting a habit is tough. I also dipped around a can a day. 15 years or so, I quit when my wife got preggo with my son. I'd say the first week is moderately tough and it gets much easier from there.

I quit cold turkey about 10 years ago, but unfortunately started back about 4 years ago. Just quiting cold turkey is certainly quicker, but the patch has made it more tolerable. I think they recommend using it for like 3 months or something but I am just doing it for 6 weeks total, 2 weeks at each level. I still smoke occasional cigars so I guess I haven't completely quit all together any how.
