[ QUOTE ] There's nothing in the information given by future to give any reason to believe the guy gets out of line betting without a hand. [/ QUOTE ] Getting AI preflop with 22 and ATo would require getting out of line without a hand I think. [/ QUOTE ] Yes, but the information future gave specified the guy played better after the flop than before. There are plenty of people you run into in these games that play entirely different games pre and post flop. |

FD,
i posted in the msnl that im always raising this river against the person you described... but if a good player sees you raise this river, he will push this river a lot (as i would) bc if you're this deep, you are NEVER checking the turn behind with a flush. holla |

terrel, he's not good postflop, just not an insane maniac like pf. FWIW i agree that there aren't a ton of hands he bets 3 streets with that im ahead of on the flop and turn, but i would expect his range for calling a flop raise, turn bet, and river bet is stronger than his range for betting 3 streets, especially on this drawy of a board. I think a lot of the hands i beat are broadway cards w/ one club. And in these games he can also be valuebetting multiple streets w/ TT/JX on this board. Problem is most of those hands wont call a flop raise, but will c/c or bet all the way down to the river after betting the flop.

[/ QUOTE ] i would never take this line and then raise this river vs. jason or anyone capable of bluff pushing this river. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, sorta kidding. Just sayin if reraise this river is close to automatic for a "good" player, it would be profitable to raise/call if you were ahead of his range after he first bet the river. But anyway, I'm pretty sure you guys don't mean a good player is reraising 100% of his range 100% of the time at that point. Now, going along this sidetrack here, shouldn't a good player be able to have a profitable mix of reraising the river there with nuts/bluffs such that you would be correct to call 100% of the time. Would it be the maximally profitable mix for that player where he has the minimum number of bluff hands in the mix such that you should call with 100%? Can this be more generalized? Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Does anyone care? Let's say his river raise can only be pot sized and 1/2 his current range is ahead of you and 1/2 behind you and you both know this. By calling you will risk one pot to win two pots. If he reraises with 3 out of 4 hands in his range, you would win 1 out of those 3 times if you call. That should make it so that you can call 100% and his profit on that bet is 1/3 pot. Let's say he raises just a tiny bit more often. 31 out of 40 times. You def call 100% and win 11 out of those 30 times. Well, your call has gone from breakeven to slightly profitable, so that's settles it for him pushing more than 3 out of 4. Say he pushes 29 out of 40 times. Now you don't call with 100% anymore. Blah, getting too long. Maybe more later. Maybe not. Ok, I'll just hit submit and see how long it is until someone calls me retarded. |
