It won't matter. Regardless of how psycho and conniving she is, if she shows up with another chip lead (hint, sweetie: chip leads don't pay the bills), she'll get plenty of press time. That is more or less all she is after, anyway.

I imagine Brandi is just the first (or current) of many girls who will come into the poker world thinking that she can parlay her natural charms with an ability to identify chip denominations and hand rankings into a life of fame and luxury.

Some of those girls will succeed and make a career for themselves. I doubt Brandi is one of them and I certainly hope not.

Edit: Obv I agree with your point and expect her to have an impossible time functioning in the poker world, 2+2 or not.

I think there is a good reason to defend Mark here simply because most people who have read this don't know him and won;t know what to believe.

I have met Mark a bunch of times and there is a possibility he doesn't like me much because of the context of the situations we have met in, but he has always been nice and even though most of the stories I hear get twisted a million ways it seems to me like he is a very nice guy, perhaps too trusting, but a really good guy.

Also on the subject of his poker ability I have had several world class LHE players tell me he is one of the best.

This seems to the only rational explanation for playing way above her meagre bankroll and coming here to post about her "big loss". If she wanted to make a living out of poker, she'd be bartending right now. Ok. I'll end the mystery here. She's talking about me. Except for the part about having sex with her. That never happened. Also, I haven't won any major tournaments although I did once place ITM in a $20 Party MTT. Also, we're not really friends. In fact I've never even met her. However I do cry at night about getting outplayed in cash games. So I'm pretty sure she's talking about me.

I'll admit to falling prey to this thread--I'd say it is the single most fascinating (and often bile-inducing) piece of work ever on NVG. Say what you will about the OP, but she has certainly instigated a festival of carnage and comedy here.

As far as I can tell, Shane is not lacking in the credibility department. I'd say that of the hundreds of millions of posts in this thread, his hotel room post is fairly definitive.

Disclaimer: Of course, being a goofy giggling poker groupie does not justify rape or sexual abuse or genocide or whatever the hysterics want to call it. Obviously, if Governor Ted basically stole her money and then hit on her (so to speak), he's a piece of sh*t. But that seems to be about it, and I find it hard to imagine that anyone here didn't envision a poker world with lecherous characters in it.

As for me, I'm trying to keep my chin up. I've been sleeping a lot more than normal because of the depression. But am actively seeking a job and look to getting back in the games sometime soon.
