I am reading The Mathematics of Poker and it looks like an amazing book so far (have only read 90 pages). It's an awesome tool for analysing poker hands and strategies. Have anyone else read it?

I'm halfway through it. Part I and II did not really present any new things to me, but Part IV and V had a number of very interesting concepts. The best part of the book is Part III though, I am very impressed with that. I am now at Chapter 15 and the rest looks very interesting.

Their writing style is a bit boring though, so it's a bit of a bitch to read it all, but I am very impressed by the extent of their research.

I just finished part 2 and I am very impressed. I sort off didn't learn anything new but the second part is very inspiring. I bought the book because I never analyse hands in depth because when I try I make it more complicated than it should be and it results in me never finishing analysis. So basicaly I needed some insperation and a guide about how to do it properly which what 2nd part is all about.

So far the book blew me away. I hope I will be able to empliment what I have read IRL.

I prob shove turn expecting him to call with his whole range...def raise turn more though bc of the hearts...you only made him pay 40 into 120. It doesn't matter too too much because I never fold vs these guys.

play like 12/9, seriously. resteal from CO/BTN raises made by middle stacks. push/fold with like 10BBs to maximize FE, but be patient. Dont be afraid to go out early- take adv of small edges.

Early/middle, just play ABC Tag like it was a cash game against idiots who can't fold and can't read hands.
