yeah hes the greatest. i love all his calls. he gets so excited. this season has been a great year for him.

edit- out of all of them, i gotta go with bern baby bern. there was that game a couple months ago, where bernie hit a bases clearing triple over a centerfielders head late in the game, and sterling went bananas. the play was really long, and he kind of ran out of steam, paused, and then kept going. hes not particularly great midgame, but late in the game, hes simply the best.

Another classic is a thrilla by godzilla.

The game winning Home Run that Bernie hit last month was my favorite. That triple was also classic.

Is there anyone more clutch on the yanks then Matsui? He always seems to put the ball in the right place at the right time.

his in game calls, balls and strikes, etc, do leave something to be desired for.

but they should just wheel him in in the bottom of the seventh. his late game calls are amazing.

No what annoyed people was his constant idiot banter about the players both in-between at bats and during at bats. Waldman is awful as well. If I am watching a Yankee game I like watching Singleton, Kaat and Kay do it. That is the best broadcasting team in my opinion.

i definitely agree about waldman.

but for game ending calls, i love sterling. what can i say. you can tell he is jumping up and down, hes just awesome for those 20 seconds.

i also love how YES has him do the "masterpiece theater" bits at during and at the end of the yankees classic games. its hilarious.

This series against the Drays is big. If the yankees slip at all they could be out of the race.

So far they've batted around in the 1st against Waechter. Sheffield is back and has a hit, and Giambi homered. Bubba crosby has an RBI.
