Tell me what you think your biggest leak is for yourself and what you think many players do wrong. What is the hardest hand you find having to play?

Well one thing I do in live limit games that is a really bad habit is soft playing.... I mean, I play with some players almost every day and it's easy to develop friendships. Some players that play that game have almost no clue and constantly throw their money away week after week. I check sometimes when I have the nuts on the river to some players and thats a VERY bad habit. But I can't help it I have always been a softie for the underdog. I'm trying to change this and tell players that it's not personal BEFORE we start playing. Liz once told me "Play your game, Check raise me if you want too", because I would check to her heads up.

The hardest hand to play...hmmmmm. Hard question because the reason why I love poker so much is that every hand IS different, with a different set of circumstances and situations. In limit I really hate AK, because it can cost alot of bets if you don't hit. In no limit I don't like JJ, it's probably because I don't go all in with that hand, but I seem to call big raises with them.

People who are playing that high of a limit game think its personal? hahahaha I'd imagine that they would understand that poker is about making money off the other player first and foremost.

Do you think its easier to make money off of men who think they are playing against a girl? I've noticed that a lot of the people that I have sat down at a table with would have their eyes light up and keep trying to bluff girls off of pots with air.

Can you tell me maybe about the biggest bluff you have pulled or maybe the biggest hand you have lost that you learned from.

Any thoughts on 57s? I find that hand to be probably one of the most profitably deceptive hands possible, for me at least, that if hit properly will end up making money more than it can ever lose.

Actually, this habit is probably good for you in the long run. It encourages a weak player to stick around.

Hello 2+2'ers:

I decided to make up a thread, instead of responding on other threads...
If any of you have any questions, comments, gossip, etc., please post them and I will respond on this thread.

Just a little background, I have been playing high limit LIVE poker for 2 years (100-200, 80-160, 40-80), I just recently started to play tournaments. I rarely play on the internet but if I do I play on Martin's Poker (50-100 limit, 30-60 limit, 5-10 nl)screen name MsGluck

Hey Jean,

I am a paid sports writer and a pro poker player (a limit cash game player, my highest regular limit in a live setting is 80/160). I created a poker-centric blog to which a couple of 2+2 posters contribute (it was linked earlier in this thread, in fact).

If you wouldn't mind, I might be sending you a PM with some questions, and if you could do a brief interview for our blog, that would be great. It would be one part of a series of interviews with established pros and personalities from around the country.

If you're too busy, no big deal.

Whoa. We're not used to this level of charm.

News, Views, and Gossip (NVG) is actually one of the more civil subforums on twoplustwo. Don't be taken in by the first silver-tongued devil you meet here.

Question: Do you prefer dogs or cats?
