Well, it doesn't affect my opinion that she's a 1, but it does sound like she's a jerk. So I will cheer for her to lose. Too bad, because I generally like people who talk a lot at the table.

Yeah, judging from the response from Gavin and Joe on the circuit, they were not happy with her at all.

Seems like she's developing a bad reputation very quickly. With so few women in poker, they already have two misfits in Duke and Rousso, what's up with that? Do you think because they are female they can get away with a lot less poker ettiquete? hmmmmmmm

which episode was this?
i don't remember them talking about her at all.

I have never played with Annie Duke or Vanessa Rousso so I can't say first hand about their attitude. Althought I've heard very nasty things about Annie. And at the Bellagio the whole buzz about Vanessa was that she was a complete witch (you know what I'm trying to say) and an amateur.
I know plenty of female poker players that are classy and respectful on the poker table.
I don't think she "got away with it" because everyone was talking about it. She even refused to shake the guys hand that knocked her out! Maybe she's just a spoiled brat...

Her attitude might just be a part of her game plan. She tries putting people on tilt.

this should not be an excuse. if you need to resort to other tactics to gain an edge then that's just cheap. doyle, chip, phil ivey don't needle others in order to win. they win cuz' they're GOOD.

I really don't think so RB...I think it is ignorance and arrogance. You can do other things to put people on tilt instead of "slow rolling"... look at Sheik and Jean-Robert, I have never seen them slow roll or anything else she did

Thanks for the report from the front MsGluck, it's nice to know that there are some really pleasant people out there on the circuit.

How about jennicide? I read that Gavin Griffin story, and apparently she stole a good 35-40k from him when they were dating, is she another shady character?

I'm sure these are the exceptions and most of the women playing poker are as nice and pleasant as you.

Dude this is not true. who cares..why are you asking Jean this? We're talking about table etiquette not what people do in their personal lives. Gavin has already stated she did not steal from him. And why would she? That is so stupid. Stop believing $hit you read on the internet.

Vanessa has a lot going for her - she's 23 and has done well for herself. She also did EXTREMELY well at the Bellagio this week. She is definitely cocky and arrogant but thats her deal, it obviously works for her because she is definitely getting attention.
