So far Dialidol has them at: 1 Taylor Hicks 2 Kellie Pickler 3 Paris Bennett 4 Elliott Yamin 5 Chris Daughtry 6 Katharine McPhee 7 Ace Young 8 Bucky Covington [/ QUOTE ] I'd love to see Chris and/or Kat in the bottom 3, they both sucked tonight. I think it will be Ace, Bucky, and Elliott with Ace going home. |

Wow. Taylor was phenomenal tonight. Thought Elliott was actually pretty good, expecting maybe Kat, Bucky, and Ace in the bottom 3.

[ QUOTE ] Elliot = Gross song [/ QUOTE ] Incorrect. Good song. And this will be the third time I've said this on 2+2: Elliott is the best singer and performer in the group. He's the only one who can really kick the crap out of difficult songs. It's too bad he won't win because of a) his looks, and b) his probable lack of a solid fan base. [/ QUOTE ] I agree with all of this. |

If he Elliot had any personality, I think he would be in the running. But he doesn't, so he won't be.
Don't get me wrong, I would be scared ****less too up there, I know it must be hard. But he looks it when he sings and when he so called dances and when he talks. The guy just hasn't defined himself yet, and it is too late now. It's easy to get behind Taylor the entertainer or Chris the rocker. Both are pretty damn believable too. To me Elliot is not. I don't know what kind of music this guy could sing that people would rush out to get, and I don't know who would pay to see this guy in concert. Oh and FYI, I only know about this crap because - A. I have money on it and b. My wife pretty much forces me to watch it which leads to C. Me putting more money on it Just wanted to clarify since I realized I just wrote such a long post about gay ass AI. |

Bucky - missed his song, but he's probably safe.
Ace - painful, painful, painful ... reminiscent of Constantine's train wreck the week he lost last year. My pick to go home this week. And thank God for it. Kellie - could have been much worse. Terrible, but she'll be just fine. Chris - OK, but he made the cardinal Idol sin of singing a song people don't know. I think he's like watching a bad version of Live (who was bad enough anyway), or a wimpy karaoke Soundgarden, but he's obviously safe this weak. Katherine - safe ... she's a great singer, and I think she's hotter than I probably should ... but slight possibility for bottom three, sadly. Elliot - one of my favorite all-time songs, and I hated the chopping up (although I understand the time constraints). I think this guy is a great singer, but boring in every way. IMO a definite bottom three. Taylor - being Taylor, and he'll be fine because of who votes and how. For me, it was like watching some idiot impersonate Elvis impersonating Queen. Paris - ambitious, but as big as she can sing, this song is bigger than her. Very possible bottom three. Paris, Elliot, Ace (slight chance for Kat, but I hope not). Ace gone. Long overdue. BTW, this is as tough as it gets, and as a result, this was the worst collective performance yet ... No one knocked it out of the park tonight. I'm a huge Queen fan like many on this board (beginning with a record club signup and News of the World 25+ years ago), and none of these guys will ever approach the same caliber of talent that Freddy Mercury had. |

Yup, I think Bucky picked a good song, but was pretty flat with it. Bottom 3 potential with him again. Ace, favorite to go, with that rock you to sleep version.
This was my favorite Kellie performance evah. Granted, I don't remember a performance of hers that I've liked, but this one was at least interesting. Kat coulda knocked one out of the park and had her "moment" but was just kinda OK. Chris, unknown song, sung like he always sings. One trick pony will fall short at the end. Elliot, agreed, good singer, boring performance. Taylor what the heck? Blech. Paris, boooring. I think Ace is the only lock for bottom three this week, and I would pick Paris and, though I secretly hope he keeps coming back, Bucky as the other two. The last couple weeks have been so mediocre. Bad, OK, and decent performances. But no one has had their "moment" yet and it seems like it's just one big pack of singers with no one really, really seperating themselves from the pack. |

Elliot's hair is a bit longer, and for the first time he actually looked ok. His song was really the best of the week IMO.

i have always loved the songs i knew, but didn't realize what variety they had over the years. Fantastic group with some of the most haunting and intricate melodies ever.
