Hey so I was going to San Pablo tomorrow afternoon to catch the weekenders. It's my 3rd time there (5th time to a B&M poker room) and I still haven't figured out how much I should buy in with. I've always done 50 times the big bet online, but $300 in chips in person takes a whole lot of room I have quickly found out... Instead I've just bought in with $200, but does that sound too small (33.3 times the big bet)?

Also as you guys might know their 3/6 game has a $2 SB and $2 button in addition to the $3 BB. Weird, but I'm guessing they do that because of their $3 rake + $1 jackpot drop, to keep people from wanting to chop the pot preflop perhaps?

The Capitol Casino Club in Sacramento is a first class cardroom. 9/18 with a half kill is the highest limit though. JC Tran is from Sac and he plays there when his is in town. Welcome to the area.

50 X?

Man I usally go 20 x and I still feel weird getting that extra stack. I would have to think that if everyone at the table is buying in for a rack or less you are going to look strange buying in for 2 or 3 racks

Then again I like to fly under the radar

Found out today that CSP takes the drop even without a flop, so chopping is out of the question.

The 6/12 uses $2 chips, 1 chip SB and 1 chip on the button, $4 drop. They just installed slot machines, so the place is a madhouse.

i live 5 blocks from chances, havnt been going to much lately due to a horrible down swing thats been tearing me apart, but ill usually play a tourny there or 1,1,2. although that game is about the same as playing 3-6 so sometimes very profitable and all the time very frustrating.

I just like having a lot of chips so I don't worry if I am $60 down because of some bad beats. I found when I have more, then I'm less likely to go on tilt, so I can just go back to playing the cards and not any different because I just lost 60 bucks.

Does that make any sence?
