to all that have contributed in the thread thus far and have PM'd me, thanks very much so far, i wasn't honestly expecting this much feedback
as to the glasses, i cant get rid of them unless I get LASIK =( my eyes simply cannot tolerate contacts, even the newest most comfy ones, its pretty lame. i'm gonna look this thread over three times and figure out my best course of action. my hair is too long right now so fortunately its good timing for a new haircut look. also, well, i need new glasses too (owned these for years now and they are crooked) so I guess that couldnt hurt. |

why not get lasik then?
Getting off topic here, but... There are some girls out there who do like glasses, but they are minority. There are others who don't care either way, but I think the majority of women feel glasses on a guy is anywhere from a slight turn off all the way to deal breaker. |

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Brands / Stores to check out 1. Nordstroms (check out their website and look at the different brands; they have some very nice stuff) 2. Penguin Clothing 3. American Eagle (jeans only...rest of their clothes suck) 4. Polo 5. North Face (very nice jackets) [/ QUOTE ] If this was 1999, your advice would be great [/ QUOTE ] Are you serious? I don't even think Penguin was around in 1999. Could you please tell me more current brands you like? [/ QUOTE ] I guess what each person considers nice is relative. AE is horibble, North Face was cool when I was in high school (Im [censored] old), Nordstroms (they have some decent suits at least), Polo was also nice when I was in high school. Penguin is cool, but its pretty meh for the price; you can get much better quality for the same price. Your probably younger than I am and that could certainly explain your choices. D squared makes some decent polos/tees as well as jeans.
Also some stylish hoodies go well up here in montreal but im not sure how often you could bust them out in GA. Thing is you can dress like a 21 yo but you should dress like a rich, fashionable 21 yo. |

[/ QUOTE ] agreed on all points, I'm skeptical on how badly I want LASIK, prolly will wait till some friends get it done to further my confidence to get it done. the 1/10,000 chance of something bad happening + the thought of sitting in a chair with my cornea getting fried = me being paranoid. |

also quick note but offtopic:
when I go to the nice mens salon in ATL what should I specify to my hairdresser to get a nice looking change? ive been to this place two times, the first time around the guy was good @ getting what i wanted, which all i got from it was that he cut at an angle and only used scissors. i asked that from another hairdresser the 2nd time around (woman argh) and she basically gave me a short version of what I have right now, ie suck. is there some keyword with haircuts i should be spelling out so I can just tell it to haidressers from now on? my hair is essentially flat and bowlish if i grow it out, like beatles circa 60's, and i am looking for something better. |
