Best means of legal self protection(<21)
Hey,
I usually carry around a switchblade with me for no other reason than to make me feel like I would have control in most situations(most not even close to all). Now that I know switchblades are illegal apparently in my state(Ohio), I am wondering what the best means of protection is for someone under 21..Hopefully something I could carry with me often and not be in trouble or caught for it. I'm not really looking for mace or anything, something like a bee-bee type pistol(is there any strong enough to really hurt someone, like atleast stop them from wanting to proceed after me?) or something like that. Any ideas? Price isn't a big deal or anything but obv not in the 1,000's. P.S. I did a search for "protection" in the subject of posts and nothing came up so sorry if this has been discussed

Mace is too pussy. I want something baller and scary as hell. I have no reason to actually want this and do not fear for my life, it just simply gives me better peace of mind.

[/ QUOTE ] I think that's a bad move. You really don't want to be pulling out anything you aren't planning on using. It escalates the situation and invites way more crazy retaliation. That's when you get someone going back to their car to get their gun, or telling their friends, who figure you're way out of line and come back to send you to the hospital or a morgue. I'm not saying don't carry a weapon; I've carried one almost all my life. But don't go flashing it or using it to make threats. And for god's sake, don't let it sneak into your head and subconsciously create more opportunities for you to go where you shouldn't go, do what you shouldn't do, mess with people who may be more crazy or connected than you know, and generally punk it up. Also, you might laugh with some guy about macing each other one day, but you won't be laughing about slicing each other up, ever. And your friends won't be laughing about your getting them into those situations, either.

Carry a golf club with you at all times. I recommend 7-iron.
If you might look conspicuous carrying around a single golf club, you should carry an entire set of golf clubs with you. "Gonna play a few holes later today mang"

Actually it is because I have been buying too much cool [censored] for college from poker..I got a 32" lcd and a 800 phone, new laptop, new car, and I seriously think I am a good candidate for getting jumped at sometime even though i go wayy out of my way to try to keep stuff private but i got 4 guys rooming with me with big mouths about my [censored]. P.S. I can't get a concealed license to carry until 21 years old, right?
