Default PSA

my departing notes.

buster was paid, within the first 3-4 days of october as all empire affiliates are. during the month of september which he was paid for in october, he received his normal commission from them, as i have and all other affilaites, he is trying to pull a fast one, but clearly he doesnt realize his audience is a) smarter than him b) taught him this business c) has a shred of morality.

emailing empire will do nothing, that is why the sites leave the affiliates to do the rakeback, there is too much hassle, too much personalized bargaining, too much for them to handle, but it still does serve a function for them. gl to those buster hasnt paid......

Paying out of your own pocket, outright stealing all of their money, or just paying them so you breakeven or make a little profit out of it.

[/ QUOTE ]

If he is actually profiting on octoboer, then I agree with all of you that he is a dirtbag. I guess I sorta misinterpeted his post. I assumed he wasnt even going to make enough to pay his players who did stay. But I guess it sounds like he will be able ot pay them and then some. I agree the extra money should go to the other players, but it would be pretty tough to split up fairly and I dont think you can expect him to cover the rest out of his own pocket.

He gave you guys a higher % than anyone else, and most of you ditched other affiliates to take advantage of his offer. He isnt screwing you any more than you screwed your previous affiliates. As someone who never got more than 25%, I would have been perfectly happy to sacrifice one week worth of Oct. rake for 5% more the rest of the months.

edit-to say I am in no way connected to buster and he was not even my affiliate. I just think you guys are overreacting and are pretty quick to judge someone who is obviously in a pretty ugly situation.

[/ QUOTE ]

Like you, Buster is not my affiliate. I've always gotten a good % and never had any problems with the guy I use.

Buster's post, however, indicates that he is a dirtbag. Think about it--it's not like Empire isn't paying out money for that period. I would understand prorating everyone's rakeback for the reduced percentage due to lower MGR, but that's not what Buster is doing. He's taking the money that Empire does give him and using it to cover personal expenses that shouldn't have anything to do with his obligations to his players.

Yeah, I assume you read my post that I was writing at the same time you wrote this one, hopefully that makes it clear that I am no longer defending buster whatsoever. I wish I would have gotten the facts straight before ever replying to this thread

how is that any different than a player bailing a site when it no longer suits his needs? Buster is free to do whatever he wants....

well lets hope Buster comes back and tries to straigthen this out or atleast explain himself more.

God damn, how did people ever play poker without rakeback

[/ QUOTE ]

Reading your posts makes me angry. It also makes you look dumb. Stop posting please.

Those who have continued to play after the Empire split will receive full payment for October. I will likely not even make my quota for MGR this month, so those that chose to jump ship will forfeit your payments to cover my obligation to my loyal customers. Any remaining funds will be used to cover website costs, employee payments, and referral bonii.

In short: If you bailed, you're SOL. You know who you are.

[/ QUOTE ]

Wow. Total BS. I kinda like reading your posts here, but I can unreservedly say I am quite thankful that I am not in any sort of business relationship with you.

[/ QUOTE ]

Just on an emotional level, I'd like to concur with that. I haven't really thought it through yet...

Let's see, you made an obligation to customers, you didn't put this exception into your communications with them, this happened, and you didn't fulfill your obligations, and now you're shafting them... okay, on an intellectual level, I concur, now.

My affilliate has an "exception" claus or whatever built into his agreement with us: if we earn less than either $25 or $50 in RB he doesn't transfer to us until the next month where we DO have that #, and it rolls over from month to month...

So we understand where we are when we're dealing with him.

Unless you have something very similar to this, that your users knew about in advance, I'd be pretty disturbed by this.

Even if he does have this clause, one poster in this thread stated that he generated about $1000 in rakeback in that first week. If Buster goes through with not paying out his obligations, he really needs to be banned. I don't see any difference between him, and the spammers who post trying to scam 2+2'ers into phony affiliate deals (and are immediately banned), or the posters who try to scam 2+2'ers by getting them to transfer paypal $ to neteller $. The only difference is the post count. Plus, if he's an advertiser on 2+2, then that just makes 2+2 look bad.

Banning may not be best for 2p2, due to his contributions to other forums (?).

However, if someone would post up his personal adress, that'd be SWEEEEET.

Yeah, and allowing people to post other posters personal addresses for whatever purpose sounds pretty good for 2+2.
