Hi Bluefeet, hope you're still reading. Being as optimistic as you are is a great trate and will help you get through this time. You're very fortunate to have been able to raise your girls, even though it has been tough... glad you know this.

As far as being in debt, it is tough. I have been there. takes a lot of work and a long time to correct. Debt is not an income issue, debt is an internal issue. Debt starts out because people buy what they want, when they don't have the money currently, and not what they "need". Then the inevitable emergencies comes, and it becomes over whelming. There are rich people burdened with debt and poor people without debt. You have to manage your money well, but more importantly you have to manage what you want vs what you need. When you learn this, your debt will diminish. (BTW, "you" refers any person in debt trouble).

I'll certainly miss your advice and participation. I have a feeling you'll be back one day. Good luck until then.

You seem like an awesome person and every interaction I've had with you has been great. I find things work out for good people and you are good people - I wish you and your girls all the best and don't hesitate to send me a PM or e-mail if you need anything.

Its slowing ending, isn't it?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, it is.

Blue, I've never chatted with you directly and I know you'll probably decline, but I'd like to help you and your daughters somehow in a way that's practical. Maybe a month of Merry Maids or something.

I'll PM.

Matt

supsupsup?!!

i wanted to say hi/thanks in the [censored] thread, rather than bump my drama again but, since it's here...

thanks so much guys for the all too kind words. all's good in the galapagos! i do appreciate those chiming in with words of encouragement and what not. i'd be lying if i said it wasn't nice to hear. sharing what i did was therapeutic if nothing else. more importantly, i just didn't want to vanish on you guys without reason. as sandycove testified...this stuff is nothing in the grand scheme of things (bless you bro!).

the 'bummer' was just saying goodbye to the activity & folks that filled a pretty big chunk of my life the last couple years. personal life...no worries!

i do appreciate the offer indy, it's a nice sentiment sir. but none of us need to look to far to find someone much worse off and more deserving.

~

what's new?
- new mods: congrats & have fun!
- suzz: i see you're getting squeezed out of the [censored] thread the bbv boys are always looking for a new poster to champion. i highly suggest updating those guys daily. you're a good sport...should be fun for all.

early post-poker benefits:
- i've actually cooked dinner a few times in the last week
- i've laid on the couch and watched a couple movies from beginning to end
- i can finally turn in my work laptop for much needed repair with the none-company-approved software removed

feel free to lock this up mods. i'm able to surf from work now and then...i'll be following all the OT fun

peace!

yo blue answer me this one question. Why is it that so many poker players appear to get worn out and quit lately? Do you think we should start encouraging people to treat this as a hobby and not as a line of work? Fortunately for you, you didnt end up a $ loser at the game, and you have the maturity to know when to take a break. You will never give up poker completely, that much i promise u. I've tried many times.

Hey Bluefeet

I'm coming out of retirement for this. Just remember that like I said on AIM some things are much more important than money, I know that you know this. Good luck in the future and keep on keeping on.

Regards and best wishes for the future.

Hi Bluefeet,

Remember me? Despite you locking 2 of my posts on the STT forum , but you seem like a genuinely nice guy, esp after the reply to my personal message.

Hope you rediscover the passion for poker and STTs again. All the best.

GL and thanks for everything Blue, I'll always feel like we "oldster's" do things for our own priorities, yours are clear and I respect you for them.

I stumbled on 2p2 quite by accident. On a whim, I did a Google search from work to see if by chance there might be a forum where people discussed poker …so naive.
