Roy should win the ROY easily. After watching 2 Blazer games this season two "knocks" stand out to me about him. He shoots to much and at times he looks like he isn't playing in the offense. I do like that he is fearless and willing to put his team on his shoulders, but if he learns to use his teammates more, damn, look out because Portland could be good. With him and Z-Bo, and w/ Jack, Martell, and Outlaw all improving, wow Nate's got a nice team here.

Zach's the huge question mark. The only thing different about this season, other than a year's worth of growth, is the fact that he has some teammates who aren't retarded (Miles, Bonzi, Rasheed, Damon, Ruben = retarded*) though they are young. It's been interesting to see some of the comments directed at Zach from the younger guys, it's almost like they're making a concerted effort to put that 'leadership' tag on Zach hoping it'll motivate him. So far he looks great but can he keep his head on straight through 79 more games...?

I don't know, whatever happens it will be interesting.

* Disclaimer: Each of these players - when split up - can provide some temporary goods, but they were a disaster all together and none of them are very smart and/or basketball saavy.

I was extremely disspaointed when this trade went down. I don't follow college ball closely, but I really liked what I saw in the tournament, and Telfair had baggage. Then when Rondo got drafted it made less sense.

Admittedly, Telfair's been playing pretty well and seems to like life better back on the east coast, so we'll see.

[/ QUOTE ]He definitely will. I wouldn't be surprised if Ainge is canned within the next 2 years. The Celtics do not seem like a well coached/managed organization.

Not really. He's had one good offensive game out of three, and three poor defensive games out of three. His preseason numbers are irrelevant.

I can't stress this enough. Telfair is a shoot-first guard who plays horrible defense.

This is a problem offensively when he is not hitting his shots, because he isn't a good distributor.

Defensively, the Celtics young bigs (Perkins + Jefferson) are unbelievably foul prone, so every time Telfair gets beat off the dribble, you can count on it leading to a foul by a Celtics' PF/C.

Ditto. Even if this team plays sub-.500 ball, I'd rather have them than the 1999-2000 team. This team is fun to watch, and it was great seeing them shove the roach comment back in Minnesota's face.

[/ QUOTE ] Definitely. He is not very big so most of the bigger PG's own him, plus teams create mismatches with him. He definitely shoots to much, which if he attacked the rim more wouldn't be that big of a deal. I hated watching Telfair here in portland, but my friend was always so big on him. Never understood why. Just another in the long list of unexperienced PG's. College would have done him a ton of good.

Its almost a shame he went to high school in NYC. He probably would have went to college for a year or so otherwise.
