Cunningham is 15th leveling Fiji into believing he made him lay down two pair so that when his confidence skyrockets as a result of the bodacious bluff he will loose his lifesavings to AC in 5 years. He even pulled a James Bond gambit with is girlfriend when he saw Fiji getting closer to confirm Fiji's fantasy. This is OBVIOUSLY what someone like AC does because AC NEVER EVER EVER makes a bad fold and NEVER EVER EVER folds AQ+ and I can tell you all of this from the internet because I play with AC and he touched me with his hand.

Did I mention AC is the second-born?

OP believed AC and it fed his ego that he outplayed a top pro. AC was bluffing with nothing and didn't want OP to know that.

Betgo,
You are surely correct that AC was lying to his girlfriend about the hand during the dinner break in the hope that I would walk within earshot of him and I would get reseated next to him after tables got reshuffled at 90 players and use the information to bluff him later in the tournament.

I am sure that you are correct because you said so on an internet forum. And there is no chance that AC was actually playing in the way that I observed that he was playing during 6 hours at the table with him.

I am not going to get into an argument like the other guy about who is the better player. I think you played this hand really well.

However, you are stating things that are not credible. You say that one of the top 30 tournament players in the world played weak/tight. You know that he folded two pair in a situation where no one folds two pair, because he told his girlfriend that over dinner and you overheard it or something.

When you overheard AC tell his girlfirend he folded two pair, are you sure this was the hand he was referring to?

Yes...

It made sense that they were talking about our hand because she walked behind him in the middle of our hand because one of the media guys told her that he was in a big pot

The discussion took place during the break immediately following our hand

AC had not played any other big pots that level than ours

He said "The kid could have a set of aces... a set of nines... set of eights"

He said "... I had two pair"

And then I smiled and went over to get a sandwich from the back of the room.

This thread really was not about the fact that I made him lay down two pair however so the results should not matter.

The question was if Allen would take the line that he took with AJ/AQ/AK(discounted)/Ax(discounted). If that is the line that he would take, would he then lay down his hand to my push? If he was capable of folding those hands and maybe those bigger than that, was my play a long run winner?

I guess those specific assumptions might boil things down to a simple math problem but I think that this thread did generate some good descussion and was generally helpful (that is of course despite the name calling and pissing contests that have become so common on these boards)

Friel: Would it be accurate to say, Cornell, he dominated you and took you to school every which way but loose?

Sometimes it's enough to just show up for a gunfight.

"The call meant that AC has a pocket pair, suited ace, big ace, or KQ"

That's ridiculous. He also calls with 45 through QJ suited, as well as KJ KT and QT suited. Other hands occasionally as well. But the turn raise is almost definitely right unless your table is weak.
