Crack-
I built a nice chip stack during the first 90 mins. I had AA twice, KK twice, QQ twice and TT once. Only had one of the KK's cracked.

Since I don't like telling bad beat stories that take more than 10 seconds... I had AQ, he had AT...and a Ten on the river with all the money in the middle.

uuuggghhhhhh.... sounds pretty brutal....

As they just pointed out. Cash game rules vary so much from place to place, its kinda amazing. I was caught off guard about a month ago when the casino I was visiting had the rule that whatever chips go over the betting line go into the pot, luckily I caught on quickly when someone else in the game made the mistake before I was given the opportunity to as it could be a pretty big deal when you grab a stack of green chips ($25 chips) with the intentions of dropping off $150 and have to drop the full $500 stack in.

That rule is probably the one that has the biggest effect on the game as far as rules that vary from casino to casino.

Evening all.

Whatever happened to the good old fashioned mercy rule? Never heard of it being used in football, but baseball has used it at all different levels (from Little League all the way up to the World Baseball Classic). I guess the openended length of a baseball game has something to do with it, but you would think they'd want to prevent kids from getting hurt when they are obviously overmatched.

The resolution Tuch brought up seems to be the worst of all possible worlds.

It is derived from the rule of Las Vegas Casinos: "Any money that is brought into the casino and crosses the line of the front door, will stay in the casino and all customers will leave the casino pennyless."
This was followed by the slogan, "The money that you bring to Vegas stays in Vegas."
And then shortened to "What Happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas"

I remember there being a "slaugheter rule" where when a team has more than 10 points with more than 2 innings or something they game is over. Jay, i knew i saw him somewhere.

I was on an internship during college in Minneapolis where I had to travel to Fargo, ND once, pretty painful experience. North Dakota and Minnesota are very different. Minnesota at least has Minneapolis which is around 3 million people and a lot of hotties, its a pretty high class town.
