Clearly putting Cheater as his title was inappropriate. Curtains is right in that we can't just label people whatever we think they are, or certainly many people on this forum would have FISH over their avatars. The whole changing of title's thing is supposed to be fun for when someone does something cool (like Colson's PLO master for example), not labeling people in a negative way.
I thought one of the funnier things in the entire thread was the "enjoy working at McD's" comment. Yes, I'm sure ZJ will go from having nearly $1 million to making minimum wage. Although I do admit that would be hilarious. On the subject of ZJ, I was shocked to hear of this, and it makes me wonder how many other top MTT players (where it is probably most +EV and easy to have multiple accounts without getting caught) are doing similar things. I hope ZJ and JJ will serve as examples and this will stop, but I doubt anything will change. While I still consider ZJ to be a top level SnG player, his MTT results seem invalidated to me. GL in the future ZJ, keep it honest. |

[ QUOTE ]
What do you think, ZJ went around telling dozens of people that he was cheating months ago and everyone sat around and did nothing? [/ QUOTE ] I have absolutely no idea; did he? I doubt he did. That would be very bad poor judgment if he did. But it sounds like (and again, I could very well be totally wrong here)... but given that JJ and ZJ both mentioned that "lots of people do it" -- it sounds as if this was sort of "common" knowledge among those "in-the-know". Maybe it's sour grapes, but I do feel cheated that I didn't know. I don't play in the big MTTs often (but I do play in them occasionally) -- and even if it didn't cost me money directly because I wasn't in MTTs were ZJ or JJ were multi-accounts, it did cheat others out of their money. I think those who did know, but who weren't involved in cheating, should have felt some obligation to "sound the alarm" or whatever. This probably could have been done without ratting anyone out. The MTT forum on 2+2 would have been an appropriate place, IMO. But I think ratting out friends could have been an option, too. I agree it's very complicated and I'm sure lots of people were in very tight spots (ethically speaking). |

[ QUOTE ]
Even if KQs raises, AA re-raises and KQs folds, which would be a reasonable way for two random opponents to play the hand, it's irrelevant. Entering 2 or more accounts into the tournament is where the ethical violation occurs, and any advantage that takes place as a result is pretty incidental. [/ QUOTE ] Suppose he had 72o UTG and AA on the button. He might limp in with 72o hoping someone would limp behind or raise. This might set up a raise or reraise by AA. The 72o hand could them fold, call, or reraise, depending on what is most likely to get other players to put money in the pot. There are a lot of situations where you might call your own raises with junk hands. You could manipulate another player in a hand. If you wound up heads up, that would be a good oportunity for chip dumping. |

1. PP to invest alot of money = $- profits 2. PP kicking out alot of players who generate alot of rake = $- profits [/ QUOTE ] Exactly. Seizing the accounts of one or two high-profile players (at least in the online poker world) is definitely the most +ev for PP to get their point accross w/o a lot of time-consuming investigation or jeopardizing a whole lot of rake. |

All, This is an over looked factor. Even if ZJ was paying taxes on all of these winnings, its possible that he has been paying them in 6 different names, which would make his taxes signifcantly less then they should be because of the escalating tax rate. [/ QUOTE ] Haha, this is a great point. What are the odds that most young players have claimed ANY winnings correctly on their taxes? |

I'm sorry but I believe pasting an IM conversation without the permission of the other party is wrong. Further info: original post was "fictional" but there was no disclaimer as such. |

If you are a saint like CSC claims to be, kudos to you. You are in the minority, and are certainly upstanding citizens. I commend you on following Party’s rules and not receiving rakeback. Most of us are too greedy to pass up money that easy. [/ QUOTE ] This is by far the most atrocious portion of your mock-apology. Absolute [censored]. Its statements like this that continually get me really fired the [censored] up about the obviously decreasing understanding of morality and ethics amongst today's youth. If while considering what to do with the rest of your life today, you come up with "move to a different country where people won't know what a piece of [censored] I am," I encourage you to take that path. |
