stop overplaying TPTK. how much fold equity did you think you had against 3 villians in a 3bet pot? you knew any ace was calling, you knew that any hand beating you at that point was calling. not smooth me thinks. note all villians that they are calling raises light.

im still not sure about the 3bet though, regardless of what you always do. what is your read on villian? he bet 5xBB, i dont think a 3bet is going to make him go away. however, since you are out of position, a 3bet does seem like a good idea throwing out some hope that he will fold and you wont have to play from the SB. the 3bet definately needed to be bigger. i think i make it like 1.50 or so.

a lot of times i do 3bet AK, especially if it is suited. it is also read dependent and how active i've been on the table, etc.

I have a feeling you're being slightly too results-oriented here, because I think you'd also be asking where you went wrong if you'd played it the same way and villain had flipped up a flopped set. You'd be asking, "should I fold to the flop minraise?"
