you cannot deny that gobbo was outplaying them all: read the reports on other sites.

It doesn't look like he outplayed Gus HU though - like he said in the interview, he felt a bit out of his depth HU that deep.

[/ QUOTE ] i was referring to the tournament as a whole and hu was more a case of gus getting the cards, as gobbo said. he didn't say that he sucked at being so deep, he said that he wouldn't have minded bigger blinds, as he'd have gus outclassed playing short.

Gobbo just won the Sunday Million like 3-4 times

On a more serious note, congrats Gobbo, I think you represented yourself (and young online players) very well. You had complete control throughout the majority of the tournament and some of the more experienced players were befuddled by your plays. I think you played very very well and will def be back in this situation soon.

HU also seemed to be a case of Gobbo wanting to small ball it and Gus having none of that. But yeah, Gus did get hit in the face by the deck. Also, nit

As rothko said, each player is guaranteed $1mil aussie dollars when it gets to heads-up, so basically the tournament becomes a heads-up match for $500k aussie, which is a MASSIVE amount of $$$ to play for, especially between two world-class players.

After watching the interview, it is fairly obvious gobbo was at a loss for words and generally bummed over the outcome.

I know Gobboboy said he felt a bit out of his depth, but I'm hoping with time to reflect, he'll see that he now *found* his depth...that is, he can play with ANY of the world's best and go toe-to-toe. The first time? Meh. First of many.

If the *worst* thing that can ever happen in such a situation is, that you come home with $1m (AUS), then any of us can deal with the worst anytime. And now, he has the poise and experience to take the final step. Gobbo can play with anyone, anytime, anywhere.

Very well done.

Congrats Gobbo on a great run.

I saw the exit interview and know you had to be disappointed not to win, but you played great and should be very proud. Great job...

A visual representation of what my exit interview would have looked like...

That being said...
I think Gobbo handled himself very well.
