CB - much as I don't wanna see Iverson land in the West not on the Clips... Iverson + Cuban = kind of awesome.

That's what I figure.. a better way to put it is either Cassell or Livingston is going. Just doesn't make sense to have all three.

[/ QUOTE ]I don't see Livingston going anywhere.

To Tuq and the Suns fans-

I was just watching the Suns game. I saw some really retarded commercial for Casino Arizona. Is this standard? If so, I feel bad for you.

H,

If I'm watching at home, my viewing habits are: spot the game 30-60 minutes, blaze through it with my DVR and catch up, rinse/repeat as necessary. So I'm not sure what you're speaking about.

That said, Casino Arizona is the closest option for most of us. It abuts the Scottsdale border and is really the only B&M casino in the state where I play poker. I can't speak for their ads but they have a decent geographical advantage over the others and seem to pull in good over the hill acts.

The Suns looked like ass tonight, but I've been meaning to ask you, what is the current vibe in Detroit regarding the Pistons? Realizing that you live in NYC of course. They're nearly three seasons removed from their title and not a season removed from their blazing start. They've done well lately but statistically Chicago is better. Is the city, spoiled by success and frustrated at present, checking out? As bad as the east is, I don't see how they couldn't be a top three pick to make the finals.

Big win for the Lakers. Smush actually showed up for the 4th quarter and the overtimes. I am dreading the next month without Odom though.

Other notes on the game:

- Kwame is a little girl sometimes. He's frustrating to watch. The Rockets went to a hack-a-Kwame strategy for a few minutes, but then they fouled him w/ less than 2 minutes in the game and gave up a free throw plus the ball. Oops.

- Yao is going to be really good for a long time. He's getting such good post position and he is so patient. It's pretty amazing. If only his team would get him the ball more often instead of taking stupid jumpers.

- Kobe is good. Really, really good. His body control is unreal. It's incredible how many "bad" shots he takes, but it doesn't even seem to matter a lot of the time. Stat line for the night: 53 pts on 45% shooting, 10 rebs, 8 asts, 2 stls, 1 block, 5 TO (4 in the first quarter).

tuq,

I really really need to get Tivo. Some of the local news stations' NBA commercials are horrible.

That being said, to be honest, I'm not exactly sure the city of Detroit knows the basketball season has started yet. Generally, the basketball season starts about 4 months after the baseball season is over for us. Usually, this means NBA starts in October. This year, by in what all accounts was an awesome summer for me, I was actually rooting for the home team until late October. I am still a little hung over from sports euphoria from the Fall Classic, as well as the premature ejaculation that comes along with committing 63,670 errors in a championship series where your team is the heavy favorite.

As far as I know, the city of Detroit loves the Pistons, but I wonder if it is started to take this team for granted. Personally, I think they're a great team, but at the same time, I wonder if we have enough to win a title, especially a team that will play defense well enough in the playoffs. That is my main concern.

I'm just happy I live in NY and can laugh at Knicks fans, though.

Edit: Oh, AND Nets fans! Your team is GAY!

The commercials are retarded, but it also spreads 45 poker tables, and is always packed with donkeys. The only problem is that Arizona has a $150 max bet size, so the biggest limit game is $75-$150, and the closest thing to NL is $5-$150 spread limit.

Celtics have won four games in a row.

During this streak, Al Jefferson is averaging 19 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 blocks per game on 60 percent shooting.

Before this season, I thought the Celtics were a big man away from being competitive in the East.

Crossing my fingers that he can keep this up.

Next test: Emeka Okafor tonight in Charlotte.

It's also nice seeing Tony Allen re-emerging as Ron Artest Jr.

LOL at Miami being Kapono/Haslem.

Some other interesting ones... DFish and Matt Harpring at +95 for Utah (????), Parker and Graham for TOR at +55.

I'm mildly surprised the DET one is +80 for Rash-weed and Rip. I woulda though Billups would be in there.
