Yes, there are plenty of people who are mature at 24. Over and over, I've seen the arc of people who crash in their mid twenties and then pick themselves up. I said the same thing in a kurosh thread, although I'm not comparing the two.

Obviously it's kind of hard to figure out what to believe based on this thread. But whatever the case, for someone that takes a little too long to grow up, there is still plenty of hope.

I don't think anyone had an issue with your skepticism (I for one did not). But some of your comments were not related to the issue at hand, but were a broad generalization against a certain portion of women. As far as your statement about being emotionally detached, I think you would benefit from your advice. It was like you were trying to reinforce some negative opinion that you hold by slamming her.

I've cooled down since I last posted, but I want to point out why you were attacked by me and others for your comments in this thread. The only thing that anyone could really conclude from the OP was that Brandi is probably pretty bad at poker, as she references cashing in 4 of 6 tournaments like it's a golden trump card to shun all the haters. That is really the only safe inference anyone could make. Regardless of any of her other actions, it is unlikely that this entire thing was a fabrication, just as it was also unlikely that her account was close to 100% accurate.

However, when something as serious as sexual harrasment/assualt is being discussed, i don't think it is appropriate to make judgements as little information as anyone of us would really have about the situation. The subsequent comments you made about strippers/whores were really pretty gross regardless of whether or not you think Brandi is a con artist. Saying things like

are really out of line, and exhibit a very niaeve and sexist attitude. Saying stuff like just just isn't cool, and unless you personally have tons of experience you whores/strippers, i woudl love to know what you are basing it off of. The fact is that many people who have to resort to that type of activity are not choosing it in lou of a multitude of other exciting financial prospects.

As it happens, it does seem that Brandi is a very untrustworthy charecter, and she scammed a good guy (Mark) out of a lot of money. I think that is disgusting personally, and i'm sure she will get what is coming to her anyway since she's obviously emotionally imabalanced and trying to kill herself. BUT, none of that changes the fact that someone can be a bad person and still be wronged, and if it happens sexually, that is something serious. If you don't know what happened, yo ushouldn't take an agressive stance on it. That is why no where in this thread will you see me say "Oh this poor girl got harrassed/assaulted!" All i pointed, albeit very vehemently to you, is that if you don't know what happened you should keep your mouth shut about it, and you definitly shouldn't make these gross comments about women who are in professions which don't conform to your morals. That is all.
