[ QUOTE ]
does anybody listen to the SNY broadcast of these games? it's the only way I can watch this series vs. the Mets, and I have to say that they are such ridiculous Mets homers. I'd rather listen to it without volume. it's [censored] annoying as [censored] how they can't go a sentence without mentioning that Citizen's Bank Park is "such a hitter's park" or "a bandbox." Gary Cohen today commenting on Burrell's homerun: "Well, the field may be cheap, but that homerun wasn't." It's just non-stop, and they always laugh at it as if they haven't made the same clever "joke" fifty (50) times that day. It's like they have this [censored] annoying sense of pride for playing in Shea just beacuse it's a pitcher's park. These guys are seriously [censored] huge [censored]. [/ QUOTE ] QFT Of course I always hated Wheeler because he is such a homer. Plus he tried to get Ashburn fired. That's one of the big downfalls of sports broadcasting for a team. Most owners want a homer. They are just doing what the Met's ownership wants so they can keep their job. I hope when the new Mets park get's finished they [censored] up the wind study and their park becomes a hitters park or even better it becomes worse than Comerica and they have to bring in the fences to get any free agents. |

Oh, and what a ballgame tonight. Bush league [censored] by Marlon Anderson deserves that kind of outcome. [/ QUOTE ] I've come to the conclusion that every home announcing team is like that. Even as a huge Phillies fan, I'm getting sick of Matthews and Wheeler freaking out over every borderline strike call against them and explaining it away as a "pitcher's pitch" (a phrase Sarge has used about 79,540 times this year) when it's the other way around. |

No announcers are even close to as big of homers as the Nationals. I have heard all of them and its crazy, the Nationals announcers talk like they are watching their little kids little league team or something.
