Rc2 is better because Re2 Be3 is playable while Rc2 Be3 Rxe3 wins a piece. Gotta keep him tied down so he can't develop. I'm very surprised Qf3 was played.

I'm not really surprised by Qf3, however I did expect f3, too many holes in retreating the king to to g1.

OK, now please forgive me..... but why and how do we burn in hell if we take the d-pawn?

I'm leaving the country tomorrow and may not have access to the internet (small towns in Germany) so... in a week.... I hope I'm not shocked!

Qxd4 and Be3 looks like trouble, we lose back a Q-side pawn, his position is free and no weak pawns.

I like Rc2, can he play 21.Bf4 after? ... Ree2 22.Rac1 maybe he is ok with that?

Look reasonable, I should not post when I'm on the bubble and not pushing all that well...god I hate poker....

I was figuring that we just went back to Qe4, sunk our rook to c2 and had counterplay but all and all I forgot the pawn at a7 is hanging.. doh... might get play against it.. but its way not worth the effort...

He has stated he tries not to. I pm him the board position when it is his move so he doesn't have to read the thread.

You cant let him keep that passed pawn in the middle like that, we'll lose in the endgame Qxf3 give back the Q side pawn and hope for a draw. I know Be3 'looks' bad but not taking the pawn looks worse
