Tuq - ahahaha whatever dude, you know what I mean. I give this franchise my hard-earned $ as a season ticket holder. I paid for the right to say "we"

I'm all about referring to teams as "we".

I try not to do it, so I won't get mocked. In my mind however, I'm their sixth man, beat reporter, coach, and analyst all wrapped into one superhuman fan.

MWII / KC - there is a long thread about acceptable uses of "we" like sometime last year.
I do it for 1 team in each sport I follow. Used to be the Knicks, but since moving from the East Coast has been the Clips. I don't really think it's lame considering how much time I spend following the team (which may be lame in of itself, but that's a whole 'nother discussion haha). -Al |

"One NBA team contacted by Yahoo! Sports believed that Morris wasn't eligible to sign until July 1, and another Eastern Conference general manager had no idea at all that he was a free agent. "
Don't GMs make like half a million dollars a year? And aren't they directly responsible for staffing a total of like 25 people? Jesus I'd fire whichever dude didn't know Morris was a FA. Also, if he signs I guarantee the rules will get changed. Not because of people intentionally gaming the system by throwing their personal workouts, but because it will become EV for every player to declare for the draft as soon as they can, not sign an agent, and either get drafted (yay mobnies!) or go undrafted and possibly get a big payday in a year or two if they improve. I don't think people realize just how much the draft screws young players, because we haven't had a Scott Boras type trying to find loopholes. |

If any team manages to get Oden, I don't see how they don't contend year-in-year-out for a good stretch. [/ QUOTE ] fyp |

Hollinger has a lengthy article out, stating how he was wrong about Nash. I'll sum it up.
He listed 5 attributes that effect PG longetivy: height, great shooting, great passing, health, medical advances. Sort of reminds me of Stockton, while Hollinger also pointed out Kidd & Golem's success. Also interesting is that Cassell, Stockton, Nash & GP all started out in the NBA slowly. Nash pretty much has all these things going for him. Hopefully this means many more seasons of Suns fastbreak ball. Nash for MVP! Finally the next guy of this mold is Chauncey Billups. 31 & entering free agency. |
