I had this dilemma last summer. I was making good $$ at poker, but needed something stable. So, I got a 40 hour a week job and found it just got in the way of me making $$ at poker. This was prelegislation of course.
Just find something w/ flexible hours if possible or something 20 hours a week, so it's not cutting into your poker too much. You still want enough time to play poker, work a job to pay some bills, and have time left over to enjoy the summmer.
I think I found the perfect job. I'm going to be driving high end executive types back and forth from the Reno airport to Lake Tahoe for a private shuttle service. The guy I'm gonna be working for is super flexible on hours (he said I could turn down work anytime I want). And I know a few guys who work for him and they say the tips are fat [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] . One guy said he drove the star of Prison Break the other day up to Tahoe.

I wouldn't mind a part-time job with roughly 20 hours a week but I'm currently doing an internship that's probably going to last until mid-late July.

Internship + Job + Poker? I think not.

another random note: bought the new linkin park album, the CD didnt work, so i (insert banned word) to get it onto my computer

im very unimpressed with this album thus far (first 5 tracks). i understand they want to go into a new direction, but its like they are trying to be something i dont think they are. all of the digital elements that made meteora and hybrid theory so successful have been ditched for a style that reminds me of 30 seconds to mars.
