yeah, Davies is garbage. The Mets strike out a lot and when they run bad against a guy they can make him look a lot better than he really is. But you'll usually forget when they knock the guy out in the 2rd inning. Davies had one of these good starts last time but I wouldnt count on a repeat performance.

Yeah, I think you are just remembering his last start against the Mets where he pitched well:

6.2 IP, 2 ER, 3 BB, 8 K

The 2 ER's were solo shots by Green & Castro.

Actually Davies was (and probably still is) a pretty hot pitching prospect who made the staff at 21 two years ago, and is coming off a pretty bad groin injury last year. He obviously hasn't been that great at the major league level yet, but he's only 23 and one day it might all click. Look at JJ Hardy.
