hand 1... 44 in LP... it folds to u in the CO (???) and u just limp. I HATE THAT!!! raise that [censored] up and then cbet the flop. u r building a pot for when u hit ur set as well as giving urself another way to win the pot. if u limp the only shot u really have is by hitting a set. not as optimal. [/ QUOTE ] Not always true in FR. There it is often a good play to actually open limp due to the relatively small size of the blinds compared to the stack sizes and because you aren't in the blinds as often as in 6max. Against players who will pay big bets even in unraised pots, it is often better not to steal the blinds but trying to hit a set for little money and then getting value on all three further streets. For further explanation, refer to concept #55 in NLHTP. |

I just finished up a ridiculous session. Afternoon classes were canceled yesterday, so I had the whole day free. Graph:
![]() Not gonna post any HHs, but I posted one a little while ago that was at the beginning here, the TT hand where I flop top set and lose to runner runner flush. Other hands: AQ on a Q-high flop vs. an aggro guy who cold-called PF w/ AA. Probably should have let that one go. AA < JJ AIPF. JJ < Donk's 53s (same guy from the TT hand) TT > JJ on T-high flop. This started to turn things around, guy cold-called PF, donked into me on flop and shoved turn. ATs > T9 on QJxK board. T9s > QJ all-in on QJ8 flop. The one that brought me back near even: 98 on a 98x flop, J turn, 9 river against runner runner flush for +$75. |

Enjoy it though, im almost 23, [censored] seems to speed up 5x once ur almost about to grad college. College degree +EV Working: Beat $$: Brag Finding a job: Variance To the quote earlier about enjoy life and don't waste time grinding the micro's, i 100% agree. You gotta say to yourself at 1 point that ok i've been playing for a 1-2 years and i have like under 5-10k total winnings, i'm not going to be aba, action jeff, taylor, stinger. Well at least this is what i say lol. Once i graduate i'll fire up my 3-4 micro tables after work sun-thurs and hopefully make 500-1k a month and it'll be a nice supplement to my dog [censored] entry level position. WHo knows maybe hit a heater and finish in a rebuy or something. |

I actually do think it applies to 6max also. Blind stealing is more important because you have to pay them so often in 6max. But still I will limp behind after one limper with small and medium PPs often where every 2+2er would tell me to raise it up. It depends on table conditions etc. But there is nothing better than being on the button with a lag or two in the blinds and limping behind with 44 and then hitting a set. Little cost, great pay off.
