Roy's back Friday probably. Blazers need to start tanking games or they're gonna get something like a #10 pick. It's hard when you play those Atlantic division teams though
More Jamaal Magloire please! |

NBA going back to leather ball on January 1st:
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2694335 Not sure what to think of this. If the new ball really is as bad as the players are saying, changing it back does make sense. But something about changing it after more than a month of the season has already been played bugs me a little. |

The ball gives you papercuts lololol. I've never heard of such a thing and I've played many hours of basektball using every type of ball you can imagine - from composite to leather to rubber to balls that were barely even balls.
The whole thing, from the switch, to the players reaction, to the switch back is kind of retarded imo. I'm just going to pretend none of this happened. |

This may be way off, but didn't the original switch revolve around some PETA or animal rights nuts who didn't like the fact that the old ball was made of leather? Not that the NBA would admit that was the reason, of course.

From Sheridan's blog:
[ QUOTE ] Tonight's blog entry comes from Madison Square Garden, where I informed Al Jefferson of the Celtics that he may have been the very reason why Allen Iverson is a Sixer rather than a Celtic. Word spread around the NBA grapevine quickly Monday that the Celtics had told the 76ers they were not willing to part with the 21-year-old big man in an Iverson trade. [/ QUOTE ] |

Re: Celtics, Blazers
Won't it be great someday when rather than secretly hope each others' team fails so we can get Greg Oden, we will secretly hope the others' team fails so we can win the NBA title? |

If the Celtics continue down this road and manage to get Oden, I don't see how they don't contend year-in-year-out for a good stretch.

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] guys, pick the Blazers! If seatown had a center I would suggest them. [/ QUOTE ] Hahah maybe....I'm giving the C's a 30 percent shot at Iverson. I was reading Maggette and Kaman didn't play tonight. Aloysius, any info on that? [/ QUOTE ] Maggette bruised his knee in Memphis, and Kaman was apparently sick... Kaman is only 24, a legit NBA center, has improved year over year, has great hands, versatile offensive game, and can rebound when he puts his mind to it. He's weak defensively (especially coming over to help) but he's learning... I think this is the view of Clippers front office also, so doubtful he's involved in any trade talks for AI. If anything, we might've offered Maggette / Mobley / Williams or something. I'm pretty sure if we offered Maggette / Livingston, Sixers would jump all over that (so I'm assuming we never put Shaun on the table, which I'm personally in favor of, I want to see him in a Clippers uniform for many years to come). -Al |
