Thanks for the vid GSykes. At the start of your vid it seemd that your postflop bets were relatively small, then at some point they got greater? Dunno, thought it was weird.
KQ hand, I dunno if we beat anything except a bluff versus that opponent, except a pretty horribly played AK. I'd probably go broke there as well though

to be honest I am just going to use my Full Tilt Shortcuts when I make my vid. I was actually pretty nervous for some reason but I think it came out OK, if there is deman I can probably make a couple more this month do one a week or something.

Gsykes,

Is the current avatar what you got for losing a prop bet? I watched the video at work. Thanks for uploading it to zshare as it's the only site that's not getting blocked by our firewall it seems. Overall, I think your video was entertaining and solid. I updated the video collection with your latest addition.

Then here, much tighter play, totally different W$WSF, totally different stats overall...

So basically, the message Im giving is FORGET about your stats because there's more than one way to skin a fish. (See what I did there)

Genz, Grunch, and Gelford (try saying that 10 times fast), I appreciate the advice. Grunch, I'm starting to realize that maybe I am not as good at poker as I thought (pretty common mistake). My only issue is with the 150k+ hands where I was a winner (I know - still not as large a sample as many other people have). Add to that the fact that I've studied the game more recently, cut down on the # of tables, posted more hands and responded to more hands here, etc., and I'm starting to get lost in what exactly I'm doing wrong.

One quick question for you, Grunch: When you said, "The WSF # should be perhaps slightly lower, maybe, but I've also seen contradicting evidence where my WSF was just as high during a bad run. But 39 is off the grid," I'm really confused about what you mean. If the WSF should be slightly LOWER, how is 39 off the grid? And I thought you first said that 39 was too low? Not trying to get caught up in a looking too much into a statistic, but I just want to understand what you're saying.

I'll probably cut this discussion off here because I didn't intend on turning the the 'brew into my poker downswing bitching blog (as much as it is starting to look that way). Thanks for the all advice though.

I'm new over here in uNL, having played for a long time in micros limit, and even some donkaments... but maybe what I say can be of value.

When I play golf 3 weekends in a row my scores go something like this (they all suck): 85, 90, 98. The more I play consecutively and 'work my game' the more I let the tiny adjustments I'm making affect my game and throw me off.

Perhaps it is the working so hard on your game lately that has made some adjustments to your game that are different than what you used to do....

Perhaps take a break and give your brain time to reboot to come back in and realize why you do what you do rather than doing things that may be against your gut, or against your intuition of poker.

I know when I try to follow the 2p2 rules of thumb too closely ('don't go broke with TP', etc) is when I start acting against how I WANT to play, and play worse. Poker always depends.

I also try to take the doses of 2p2 in moderation... reading the hands that are situations that interest me rather than ALL of them, etc... I spent most of my time in micro limits in the NC thread, go figure.

Anyway, for what it's worth from someone you don't know.

NL Newbie: The first half of PNL you'll think "Bah, this is the same stuff as before." But the Stack-to-Pot ratio section of it and commitment is completely different than anything else I've read.

what is the reason people like to use pokerhand.org? It's about the least readable format that I've ever come across.
