I really don't see what the problem is here. This guy's gf just sounds like a huge flirt, and I don't see any reference to any incident where : a) Gabe has talked [censored] about his friend, or b) flirted back. Diablo is way overreacting imo.

Even if you have no intention of hooking up with her,

(1) when you get there, you're both going to be very, very drunk, and there's no telling what could happen;

(2) from the way she acts around you, it sounds like she has less-than-pure intentions, and going to this thing as her second "date" will just encourage her; and

(3) even if nothing happens, if I were your friend, I'd be pissed to have you hanging around fake-dating my girlfriend.

I don't get it either. Is it really "2 dates" she can invite? Did she ask you to "be her date"? Is there some sort of ceremony you need to participate in as her escort? Or, is she allowed two guests on the guest list and she invited her boyfriend and his buddy. I see nothing remotely interesting or controversial in the second scenario provided your friend doesn't mind you going along.

It just sounds like she thought you'd have a good time (with other girls there), which you probably will. In addition, it sounds like it won't just be the two of you and her but a whole group of friends (from what you said about the overnight rooming situation).

It sounds totally harmless except for all those details you've been throwing in there making it seem like she's into you and possibly vice versa.

We talked on AIM and prtty much agreed to disagree. However, we both know that me not taking a strong stance against her being flirty and me not taking a strong stance against hooking up with me are different. I know you are trying to give an inflamatory example, but if i don't let something like that happen it's just not relevant. Anywho, i have gotten some good advice, we can let this thread die now.
