[ QUOTE ]
oh, and anyone who claims that they would drain their timebank for some other schmuck with a shoddy connection is either lying or delusional. [/ QUOTE ] Says you. I would (and have) at least wait for a bit, and give the guy a chance to reconnect. I don't need to take advantage of technical glitches to win at poker. |

id just fold my blinds to him.
the fat fish did it for me and i won the tourney, would feel like [censored] to do it to some1 else. Plus, its a tourney, and if I have an edge I dont really need to do it, and if I dont I dont play bad enough that I feel outclassed 20-30BB deep HU. |

it's only happened to me a few times, and everytime but one they reconnected fairly quickly. the one time it did take a while, i ended up not waiting because the guy was a total douche and had been talking stupid trash for no reason the whole match

This happened to me a while ago on Tilt HU in the 150. I decided to wait for the guy, despite already having tilt disconnect (no, it wasn't my connection, i was on other sites just fine) me out of a huge pot that got shipped to him when we would have chopped, causing a swing of like 20% of the chips in play.
I went on to bust to his AA heads up. In retrospect, i'd feel better with the money raising every hand than i do now feeling shafted and honorable. |

At first I read the OP post as saying that the opponent timed out when goggles had AA and goggles time banked all the way down to wait for the opponent to come back and then busted him. And thought OP was being sarcastic saying that was an unclassy thing to do.
I've actually had this happen where I had a set and timed all the way down to let opponent come back to stack him. |

This happened to me and I started to blind the guy off. He came back after about 8 hands and lit into me for being a douche and not waiting for him to reconnect. I actually felt a little bad about it but after reading these responses I believe that the odds are he would have done the same thing. Lost that tourney anyway, BTW.

Someone disconnected on me today in a HU SNG I made sure to keep my mouse arrow steady on the raise button to milk it for all it's worth and when he was allin with his last $25 chips and the cards were flipped over I had 35 against his 78 and I flopped trip 3s; I let out a hearty chuckle when the river was a 3.
