5PTBB/100 is EXCEEDINGLY attainable and SUSTAINABLE for multiple styles. I guarantee that carrotsnake and goofyballer are BOTH beating the games (200NL and 400NL?) for well over that. That said, hell, a meh player like me is over 5PTBB/100.

And carrotsnake, regarding sample size...we could argue this all night. The point is, after about 100k hands, you're going to know whether you're a winner or not, w/o much of a doubt. As for "long term sustainable win rate", well, tbh, I don't know that many of us are GOING to know that.

Well, unless you [censored] decide to stay at this menial level, I don't plan on getting many hands past that number before I try moving up.

Then again, a lot of you guys are thrilled with the $100/hr w/ little stress etc. I aspire to more than that though, so therefore, maybe you will get 400k+ hands at a level, no?

By no means am I targeting you, carrot, not at all. I just don't forsee many of us getting that many hands to ever know w/o any doubt, you follow?

agree w/this 100%. somehow, I have a winrate of ~5PTBB/100 over 150K hands at 200nl...and this includes long stretches of tilt, total lack of focus, and playing like absolute crap...and i'm still not even close to being happy and confident about my game

Same, even with 9 tables minimum, sometimes 12. I think I could maybe achieve 8 if I cut down on tables a bit, and concentrated a lot more.

Your missing the point. Of course winrate matters, but just because you ran for 5ptbb/100 over 150k hands does not mean your winrate is this longterm, it might not even be anywhere near it. Winrate is such a variable it is really stupid to say 'I am a longterm winner of 5ptbb/100 at 200NL.'

agree with this, like i said, even though i have what would seem to be a solid winrate to most, I'm still not happy w/my play, not even close to it. but it sure beats having a negative winrate...i see your point though.
