Only two things are infinite, the universe and the human stupidity. I am not sure about the former.

What amuses me here is AP's ignorance on the matter. Or is it me who is stupid and does not understand that this matter has no impact on their business whatsoever?

Well, somebody who's clueful here has to find somebody who's clueful there, behind the scenes. Nothing's gonna happen otherwise. Maybe even Mark Seif could help, since he may have been wronged in all of this. And if he doesn't help, well, that may say something as well.

badbeats are infinite too I believe.. but nvm that.

I really dont see any other means than pressure in this matter, sp plz, highstakes guys, pretty plz go do something about this? For once you guys have to fight alongside each other to get your money back...

And if you can get AP to move everybody in the 100k last wednesday one spot up in finishes (except the winner, potripper, o/c), that'd be great too

I once read a research paper that found that the number one reason that older* people avoid gambling on the internet was because they didn't trust the site to be fair.

These sorts of issues reinforce that perception, and while it may only have a marginal effect across a very big world, it certainly has to hurt their business, at least a little bit.

Apart from anything else, there are obviously X number of people who have read this thread who play at Absolute. It is certain that some of those players will no longer play at Absolute. That hurts their business - albeit, it might only be a small amount.

*while it related to older people, it seems reasonable that it would probably apply to young people as well - the study was just on senior UK residents who are big users of offline gaming venues (slot machines etc.) yet very low users of online gaming venues.

The quote from the affiliates response said

[ QUOTE ]
While we are continuing with our investigation, we have yet to find any evidence of wrong doing. Our game client only receives data regarding the individuals hand and no other players hole cards, except in the event of a showdown.

[/ QUOTE ]

How does this work? They can't check anybody's cards unless there's a showdown? Obv this was just a nobody who might not know how everything works, but they can't cross check the hands and see what everyone was given preflop?
