[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I'll be the first to say that I don't think the movie would do as well with two black male lead actors. Not in that genre and with that storyline. Not that it wouldn't be a good movie, because even though I think Will Smith sucks he's better than Keanu Reeves, but purely because of demographic appeal and the willingness of the film's audience to accept a black guy as a Christ figure. [/ QUOTE ] I also dont think anyone would have enjoyed seeing a black lead actor with a pretty white girl. A love plot between Trinity and Will Smith would have been gross. [/ QUOTE ] Were you watching the same movie I did? Cause I think that actress was absolutely horrid in both looks and acting. I actually think she took a little bit away from the appeal of the movie. /End my rating. |

Christian Bale would have made a better ANYTHING. Here's proof: Equilibrium [/ QUOTE ] Prolly because he's a great actor and can actually pull off roles more difficult than a piece of plank? |

I don't think he woulda fit with the tone, he's too goofy even when he tries to play straight
I think Benicio Del Toro woulda been good. Or if they really wanted to go the hardcore Jesus route they could always have asked Adrien Brody. But actually I think Keanu Reeves was a good choice. |
