Then like someone else said, stop dragging out your point and come out and say it. If it's that holocaust and 9/11 screen names are acceptable and slowrolling isn't, I don't agree.

Why would you get mad when someone slowrolls you? It would never tilt me, it's not like you were ever gonna win the pot, you just found out later than sooner. The only reason people get mad is because its okay to get mad and berate the other guy. IMO, they are usually just cashing in on their free chance to yell at someone for losing. If ever had a homegame at my house, I would be adamant about a slowrolling prize for the best slowroll of the day.

people who say they dont mind being slowrolled are usually
-multitabling -playing well within their bankroll -not attaching emotions to pots anyway when you are taking a shot, playing outside your bankroll or just in general are very emotional [AND paying attention to the table] slowrolling tilts you like crazy. The money matters to you, you WANT to win this pot and with every second you erase one of his possible holdings and become more sure about that you have a winner. NOTHING worse than being slowrolled right then. |

I don't like it, along with the hit-and-run and other vile things that go on online.
Donky chat doesn't affect me much, I turn chat off alot anyways. I put it at the same level though. Very rarely I get tilted and then start talking trash to other players, but I always hate myself afterwards My personal hatred is reserved the most for people who win with a slowroll, sit out and trash talk, and then LEAVE. Because then there's no doubt that its not about the money, you know they just sit at home and masturbate over how tough they are on the internet. |

In this as with all things, the poker samurai must find balance and inner peace.

slowrolling is ok if you are sure it will tilt the other person, but objectively it as an a-hole move, and you really have no way of knowing what the effect will be on your opponent (it could either steam him, or motivate him to play better, ya know?)

[ QUOTE ]
If ever had a homegame at my house, I would be adamant about a slowrolling prize for the best slowroll of the day. [/ QUOTE ] LOL, in my home game, we use a two second rule. If, after the final action is completed, you don't either table or muck your hand, it's automatically dead. My favorite memory of using this was when this guy, who I later found out had just done six years in prison for three counts of Stat Rape, rivered a Royal, opponent showed down a pair of jacks, he sits there for 4 seconds, I say "Dead hand, muck" and his eyes got MASSIVE, and he instantly flips over his QTs. I said "Sorry, I told you the 2 second rule when you got here." That guy lost about $350 in that $800 pot trying to be cool. He stormed out, everyone laughed so hard we almost cried. Seems that "In Prison, slowrolling is acceptable." LMAO. |
